The computer subroutines for calculation of vapor-phase and liquid-phase fugacity (activity) coefficients, reference fugac-ities, and molar enthalpies, as well as vapor-liquid and liquid-liquid equilibrium ratios, are described and listed in this Appendix. These are source routines written in American National Standard FORTRAN (FORTRAN IV), ANSI X3.9-1978, and, as such, should be compatible with most computer systems with FORTRAN IV compilers. Approximate storage requirements and CDC 6400 execution times for these subroutines are given in Appendix J.

Also included in this table are some average execution times for the thermodynamic subroutines measured for the CDC 6400 of the Computer Center, University of California, Berkeley. 

The program storage requirements will depend somewhat on the computer and FORTRAN compiler involved. The execution times can be corrected approximately to those for other computer systems by use of factors based upon bench-mark programs representative of floating point manipulations. For example, execution times on a CDC 6600 would be less by a factor of roughly 4 than those given in the tcible and on a CDC 7600 less by a factor of roughly 24. 

Execution times for the higher level subroutines FLASH and ELIPS will be highly dependent on the problems involved. The times required per iteration can be estimated from times for lower level subroutines and the descriptions given for FLASH and ELIPS. Computation times for two specific cases calculated with FLASH and one case claculated with ELIPS are included in Table J-1 to show approximate magnitudes required.

Using computer programs compiicates the problem because the calculation accuracy is never given for commercial reasons. Furthermore, the ways in which the methods are executed are not explicit and the data banks are often considered secret and inaccessible. 

Based on the results of the feasibility study, and assuming that at least one option is economically viable, a field development plan can now be formulated and subsequently executed. The plan is a key document used for achieving proper communication, discussion and agreement on the activities required for the development of a new field, or extension to an existing development. 

In summary, exploration activities require the integration of different techniques and disciplines. Clear definition of survey objectives is needed. When planning and executing an exploration campaign the duration of data acquisition and interpretation has to be taken into account. 

EIA Preparation is the scientific and objective analysis of the scale, significance and importance of impacts identified. Various methods have been developed, in relation to baseline studies impact identification prediction evaluation and mitigation, to execute this task. 

Lump Sum contract contractor manages and executes specified work to an agreed delivery date for a fixed price. Penalties may be due for late completion of the work, and this provides an incentive for timely completion. Payment may be staged when agreed milestones are reached. 

The loading steps were created by prestraining the bolts. Comparison of the different investigating methods was executed at the various loading steps for the given bolts. 

The Supplement B (reference) contains a description of the process to render an automatic construction of mathematical models with the application of electronic computer. The research work of the Institute of the applied mathematics of The Academy of Sciences ( Ukraine) was assumed as a basis for the Supplement. The prepared mathematical model provides the possibility to spare strength and to save money, usually spent for the development of the mathematical models of each separate enterprise. The model provides the possibility to execute the works standard forms and records for the non-destructive inspection in complete correspondence with the requirements of the Standard. 

AUGUR software is used to obtain two- and three-dimensional images of defects using various coherent data processing methods, determine the sizes of defects in different sections, execute service and report preparation operations. 

Anumber of defects with manual inspection indications clarified by AUGUR 4.2 records have been accepted for further operation in 1996 with prescription of next year AUGUR 4 2 inspection. Based on two consecutive inspections (1996-97 years) comparative analysis of AUGUR 4.2 data was executed. It was shown that the flaw configurations, reproduced by AUGUR 4.2 are stable and the small differences are conditioned only by system thresholds of linear coordinate and signal amplitude as well as variations in local conditions of in-site inspection. 

In order to describe inherited stress state of weldment the finite element modelling results are used. A series of finite element calculations were conducted to model step-by-step residual stresses as well as its redistribution due to heat treatment and operation [3]. The solutions for the reference weldment geometries are collected in the data base. If necessary (some variants of repair) the modelling is executed for this specific case. 

Online control of the AlR-1 robot is done from within the UltraSIM/UlScan generic scanner control module. With a scanning program as input, the control application is able to calculate and perform cartesian motion for any usual robot manipulator having an inverse solution. The planned robot motion can be simulated off-line before online execution regarding joint and robot position, speed and acceleration. During robot inspection the 3D virtual inspection environment is updated real-time according to the actual robot motion. 

In order to optimise the general on-site system performance, time and resource consuming motion calculations are done immediately after execution of the previous path in the current scaiming program - simultaneously with the storing of digital A-scan data by the PS-4 system.
