Execution of engineering works

All these activities require (a significant amount of) time and need to be accounted for in the planning of the works. 

The first thing that has to be arranged before any work can be done is the establishment of a project team and mobilization of this team to, preferably, a location near the works. Whereas the project team is often estabUshed during the tender or negotiation phase before contract award, mobilization of this team to the country/ location where the job is executed is required for the other preparation activities that have to be done. 

In the planning, this imphes that a significant amount of time shall be reserved for the development (and approval by the Client) of these engineering works. Even more important is to properly show the dependency of these activities with the activities in the execution phase. For example, the Contractor will not be allowed to start working without a proper safety management plan in place.
