Test results

Sample size is 100 ml and distillation conditions are specified according to the type of sample. Temperature and volume of condensate are taken simultaneously and the test results are calculated and reported as boiling temperature as a function of the volume recovered as shown in Table 2.1.

The analysis of the test results shows that non-defect adhesive joints of the carbon plastic are acoustically less active than the glued main material. This can be explained by absence of plasticization effect of the die (adhesive layer). The value of the breaking point ("C ) at the adhesive joints shift is 9,6 M Pa.

There is some uncertainty connected with testing techniques, errors of characteristic measurements, and influence of fectors that carmot be taken into account for building up a model. As these factors cannot be evaluated a priori and their combination can bring unpredictable influence on the testing results it is possible to represent them as additional noise action [4], Such an approach allows to describe the material and testing as a united model — dynamic mathematical model. 

Forecasting of time series behavior using lead time data (data obtained during current experiment) for prediction of the material response to the similar actions and loads in future or of testing results for twin material specimens during lead time . 

The benefit of such a model is that better understanding of the wave propagation process may be gained. Also, it is possible to make controlled parameter studies in order to understand the influence of e.g. defect orientation, probe angle and frequency on the test results. Results may be presented as A-, B- or C-scans.

For a long time, the wheels were mainly tested with dye penetration. This test procedure can make defects which are open to the surface of the material visible for the tester. It is, however, common knowledge that the test results vary greatly depending on the subjective view of the individual tester. 

The condition for zeroing the system before the measurement is caused by the need to diminish the influence of temperature change on the test result.

Test results indicate to the possibility of evaluating stress in parts covered with a protective layer (vanish or non-ferromagnetic electrolytic coating). 

We are confident that any user of this combined evaluation technique, as well as the development of future test standards for manual ultrasonic testing will benefit from this result, because it allows a greater flexibility in the applicable method without loosing reliability. Often an expensive production of a reference block can be avoided and therefore testing costs are reduced. Since all calculations are performed by a PC, the operator can fully concentrate on his most important duty scanning the workpiece and observing the A-scan. Additional time will be saved for the test documentation, since all testing results are stored in the instrument s memory (the PC s hard drive) with full link to the Software World (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.). 

The convenience of the offered monitoring system consists in an opportunity fast adjustment in conditions of many nomenclature manufacture, reception of the protocol of the testing results, opportunity of use of the unskilled personnel. By an offered principle installations for the testing of welding by explosion of cases of plunger pumps, details of air engineering and other were developed. 

Attestation of the test procedure is realized with the aim to confirm both the correctness of the choice of method and NDT facilities and fullness of requirements included in the test procedure. Attestation ensures reliability of testing results with required accuracy. 

In order to parameterize a QSAR equation, a quantihed activity for a set of compounds must be known. These are called lead compounds, at least in the pharmaceutical industry. Typically, test results are available for only a small number of compounds. Because of this, it can be difficult to choose a number of descriptors that will give useful results without htting to anomalies in the test set. Three to hve lead compounds per descriptor in the QSAR equation are normally considered an adequate number. If two descriptors are nearly col-linear with one another, then one should be omitted even though it may have a large correlation coefficient.

The effective saturation depth,, represents the depth of water under which the total pressure (hydrostatic plus atmospheric) would produce a saturation concentration equal to for water ia contact with air at 100% relative humidity. This can be calculated usiag the above equation, based on a spatial average value of T, measured by a clean water test. For design purposes,, can be estimated from clean water test results on similar systems, and it can range from 5 to 50% of tank Hquid depth. Effective depth values for coarse bubble diffused air, fine bubble diffused air, and low speed surface aerators are 26 to 34%, 21 to 44%, and 5 to 7%, of the Hquid depth, respectively.

Resistance to Microorganisms and Insects. Resistance of triacetate to microorganisms, based on soil-burial tests, is high, approaching that of polyester, acryUc, and nylon fibers. Sod-burial test results on acetate, triacetate, and cotton are shown in Figure 8. Neither acetate nor triacetate fiber is readdy attacked by moths or carpet beedes. 

The test results reported show the advantages of pressure filtration quite clearly, ie, the dry cake production capacity obtained with the test soHds (coal suspensions) was raised 60 or 70% and the final moisture content of the cake reduced by as much as 5 to 7% by increasing the pressure drop from 60 to 200 kPa. Further increases in the operating pressure bring about less and less return in terms of capacity and moisture content.

Low Temperature Properties. The property of solvent resistance makes fluorosihcone elastomers usefiil where alternative fluorocarbon elastomers cannot function. The abiHty to retract to 10% of their original extension after a 100% elongation at low temperature is an important test result. Eluorosihcones can typically pass this test down to —59°C. The brittle point is approximately —68°C. 

Epidemiologic studies in Japan indicate an increased risk of stomach cancer owing to consumption of broiled fish and meats (116). In the United States, stomach cancer incidence has steadily declined since the 1940s, whereas consumption of broiled food has increased (108). In addition, the average human intake of PAHs is only 0.002 of that required to produce cancer in half of animals fed. Test results are often contradictory (117) and many components of food, such as vitamin A, unsaturated fatty acids, thiols, nitrites, and even saUva itself, tend to inhibit the mutagenic activity of PAHs (118—120). Therefore, the significance of PAHs in the human diet remains unknown (121,109). 

Other Substances. Driving under the influence of alcohol cases are compHcated because people sometimes consume alcohol with other substances (11—13). The most common iUicit substances taken with alcohol are marijuana and cocaine (see Table 1) (14). In combination with alcohol, some dmgs have an additive effect. When a blood or urine alcohol sample is tested for alcohol and the result is well below the legal concentration threshold yet the test results are not consistent with the arresting officers observation that the subject was stuporous, further toxicological tests for the possible presence of dmgs are indicated. 

Most hafnium compounds requite no special safety precautions because hafnium is nontoxic under normal exposure. Acidic compounds such as hafnium tetrachloride hydroly2e easily to form strongly acidic solutions and to release hydrogen chloride fumes, and these compounds must be handled properly. Whereas laboratory tests in which soluble hafnium compounds were injected into animals did show toxicity, feeding test results indicated essentially no toxicity when hafnium compounds were taken orally (33,34).
