For a sustainable production of Fl2, the role of the reforming catalyst is very significant. Even though there are several commercially developed reforming catalysts, their use is still limited to typical operating conditions such as high [Pg.309]

Nickel-based catalysts supported on AI2O3 spheres (12wt% as NiO) were prepared through wet impregnation of support with aqueous solutions of nickel acetate tetrahydrate, Ni(CH3C00)2-4H20 (Carlo Erba). In order to parameterize a QSAR equation, a quantihed activity for a set of compounds must be known. These are called lead compounds, at least in the pharmaceutical industry. If the pH level of drilling fluid drops and the hydrogen sulfide test result is negative, there is a good possibility that carbon dioxide will be present.
