Test Systems.—Cyclohexane + n-hexane at 298.15 K has recently been recommended by the I.U.P.A.C. Commission on Thermodynamics and Thermochemistry. Results for this system obtained in five different laboratories with batch, dilution, and flow calorimeters show no systematic discrepancies. -  [Pg.38]

To ensure that the purity of the samples was not a source of error, all measurements were made with Phillips Research Grade material. The recommendation is that H should be calculated from the equation [Pg.38]

There has been no systematic study on an exothermic system suitable for testing calorimeters. The results of Murakami and Benson and Tanaka et al for benzene + dichloromethane [7T (max) = — 84 J mol at 298.15 K] agree within 0.5 per cent. For 1,4-dioxan + dichloromethane [J7 i(max) = —1100 J molat 303.15 K] the results of Murakami and Benson differ from those of Winterhalter and Van Ness by up to 1.6 per cent. Measurements on this system have been made by Becker et at 298.15 K only. Although the presented results prove the efficiency of radioscopy, this system have certain characteristics which justify to develop and employ further process integrated testing systems. One of this characteristics is that the integration of radioscopy in industrial applications is doubtful because of reasons of radiation protection. This means, that the results from radioscopy should rather be used to fit other systems (acoustic emission analysis or temperature analysis) for industrial applications. [Pg.12]

The present paper is organized as follows In a first step, the derivation of QCMD and related models is reviewed in the framework of the semiclassical approach, 2.
