The next phases are detailed planning of restoration measures, planning of project assessment and project implementation. The final phase, utilization, includes maintenance measures, evaluation of project success, adaptive management and the communication of results. The assessment of project activities may include performance and systems audits, data quality audits, peer review, PE samples, as appropriate for a given project. Assessment enables project personnel to identify field and laboratory problems or variances from the project scope and to implement timely corrective action. The findings and response actions originating from assessment activities are documented in reports to management. 

Each collected sample must have its own unique identification number. The project staff will use this number to track the sample in the field and at the home office during the project assessment phase. The laboratory will use this number for matching the sample and the requested analysis. The laboratory will enter the field sample IDs into the data base and assign the samples with laboratory IDs for internal tracking. Analytical results will be reported for the samples identified according to their field and laboratory IDs. 

Project assessment — This analysis aims to examine compounds of interest to specific projects to aid managers in making informed decisions about compounds. Many organizations assess active compounds resulting from HTS others perform analysis when a project focuses on a particular compound. 

The most convincing arguments are those which are developed from one s own considerations. Thus researchers should do their own market assessment to develop an opinion about the chances, risks and best applications of their approach. (If they don t like the term market assessment, they may call it "SPA" for "strategic project assessment" if this sound more reputable.) One needs no special skills to identify the major threats to and opportunities for a project. These are usually rather obvious, if some basic information is available and is considered critically. 

The remainder of this chapter deals with the elements of the overall process for an overall project. These include simulation project assessment, project planning, project execution, project reporting, and project utilization.

The actual time when a membrane is changed depends very much on local power costs, the type of membrane and cell systems used. In the economic assessments for membrane installation high priority must be placed on obtaining the right system overall, including the costs of all the replacement operations and other maintenance activities and also the correct choice of current density. As current densities increase so do power consumptions, while capital costs reduce. However, higher current densities will tend to lead to shorter operating lives, so optimization studies are essential in any project assessment.

The main objective of the course projects is to give more hands on experience to the students in addition to that knowledge gained in the regular course. This paper arose as part of the project "Assessment, Architecture, and Performance of Industrial Programmable Electronic Systems with Particular Reference to Robotics Safety . It presents the results of sub-project 4 the objectives of which were defined as follows sub-project 4 is concerned with revealing areas which will require further work in the future. Of particular interest are those areas in which programmable electronic systems play a part in overall safety. The work of sub-project 4 was to be based on those results achieved in the preceeding sub-projects.
