Project Personnel

The Tables began under the direction of Daniel R. Stull in 1959. Major contributions in the first two years were made by Thomas E. Dergazarian, Samuel Levine, and Louis A. DuPlessis. In 1969 Harold Prophet succeeded Daniel R. Stull as project director and continued in that position until his untimely death in late 1972. Malcolm W. Chase has been the project director since late 1972. [Pg.6]

After technical design has been translated into code,2 the following inspections should be considered to further evaluate the correctness of the code. A code review is an informal white box test where the code is presented in a meeting to project personnel, managers, users, customers, or other interested parties for comment or informal approval. Code reviews are a static test approach that can be applied to source code during the early stage of development. [Pg.55]

Code review A meeting at which software code is presented to project personnel, managers, users, customers, or other interested parties for comment or approval (IEEE). [Pg.178]

The assessment of project activities may include performance and systems audits, data quality audits, peer review, PE samples, as appropriate for a given project. Assessment enables project personnel to identify field and laboratory problems or variances from the project scope and to implement timely corrective action. The findings and response actions originating from assessment activities are documented in reports to management. [Pg.79]

A ranking scheme such as this is basically an information gathering and documentation device that would be especially useful- if project personnel changed. [Pg.65]

Prior to the start of the validation project, time and resources (and therefore money) must be expended to ensure that the requirements for the validation of LIMS are assessed from a regulatory and business perspective. This assessment should be executed as early as possible, preferably prior to purchasing LIMS. Many projects have had problems due to lack of appropriate funding, and consequently validation difficulties, due to the project personnel not understanding sufficiently early what needs to be done in the project life cycle. [Pg.517]

All project personnel returning to the United States will, before departure, submit to the Detachment Orderly Room, all developed negatives and prints which have been taken since leaving the United States. No exposed but undeveloped rolls of film may be taken or returned to the United States. Adherence to this rule will, in addition to protecting project security, enable the individual to avoid difficulties with Customs Officials in Honolulu. [Pg.365]

Project personnel are advised that they will not allow themselves to be interviewed by press correspondents, radio commentators, or other individuals engaged in releasing news or background stories to the general public, except when officially authorised and arranged. This covers representatives of military or naval publications as well. Requests for such interviews will be referred at once to Col. de Silva. Project personnel are reminded that, prior to publication of personal notes or manuscripts, such material must be submitted to a project officer for approval. Such notes will be referred to Col. de Silva. ... [Pg.365]

Project personnel costs are determined by totaling the hours required by each person to perform his or her work on all the tasks to which he or she has been assigned. The person s total project hours then are multiplied by their hourly billing or compensation rate, as determined by management, to... [Pg.1343]

Lack of training. Projects, being discontinuous phenomena, are naturally associated with discontinuous employment and the use of new staff. Training needs and the associated time-lags easily lead to the use of relatively untrained staff over peak periods. All project personnel are involved, not just data input clerks. For instance, a site storeman who understands neither the need for meticulous input nor the consequences of error - but does understand the need to issue materials promptly under pressure - can and will reduce a computerized materials management system to irreversible chaos. Unreliable software support staff Software developers may understand that they are well-positioned to make themselves... [Pg.301]

To identify complex tasks and potentially hazardous tasks, and inform all contractors and other affected project personnel about them. [Pg.24]

Generate a project hazard identification report to share with all contractors and other affected project personnel by listing the tasks that meet the criteria established in the preceding two major bullets above. Provide a detailed, written description of each of them including the anticipated hazards. [Pg.24]

We find an incident and accident database among the experience databases. Although the project personnel have access to this database, there are few spontaneous queries of it. The experiences are considered too diluted and incomprehensible and there are concerns about the data quality. The database has proven valuable when used in black-spot analyses. [Pg.320]

These project features resulted in an area of work of 100 miles in every direction. Together with the amount of construction involved, the remoteness from population centres and the extreme Labrador climate with short construction seasons, this presented an enormous problem of logistics. The project facilities were divided into suitable parts for individual construction contracts, as shown in Table 1. A single transportation system was established by the owner, requiring transportation by ship, rail and road of all commodities used in the project. Accommodation and feeding facilities were also developed and operated by the owner for all project personnel, which reached a peak in 1970 of 6300 employees. [Pg.57]
