All HyperChem source code is written in C or C-t-t, specified, designed, and implemented by Hyper-Chem s developers. Low-pressure hysteresis is not confined to Type I isotherms, however, and is frequently superimposed on the conventional hysteresis loop of the Type IV isotherm. In the region below the shoulder of the hysteresis loop the desorption branch runs parallel to the adsorption curve, as in Fig. 4.26, and in Fig. 4.2S(fi) and (d). A small (25-kg), portable apheresis system, available in 1993, is designed to meet a wide variety of blood cell separation needs. The role of the apheresis system is to control the behavior, separation, and collection of blood components from the bowl while maintaining maximum donor safety. The system controls the flow rates of blood and components through variable pump speeds. It directs the flow of components out of the bowl, by fully automatic opening and closing of valves based on the output of the system sensors. The system monitors the separation of blood components in the bowl by an optics system that aims at the shoulder of the bowl. A bursa, a sac filled with fluid located around a principal joint, is lined with a synovial membrane and contains synovial fluid. This fluid minimizes friction between the tendon and the bone, or between tendon and ligament. Repeated small stresses and ovemse can cause the bursa in the shoulder, hip, knee, or ankle to swell. This swelling and irritation is referred to as bursitis. Some patients experience bursitis in association with tendonitis. Bursitis can usually be reheved by rest and in some cases by using antiinflammatory medications.
