Unfortunately, the main European companies which are working in the NDT field, do not show any activity in promoting in the Ukrainian market the high-technology NDT equipment for upgrading the NDT practices We welcome those who are starting to work in Ukraine, as our industry requires the advanced NDT technologies and equipment.

There are many technical problems to be considered when developing a new commercial and viable filter. However, the filtration hardware in itself is not enough, as the control of a continuous pressure filter is much more difficult than that of its equivalents in vacuum filtration the necessary development may also include an automatic, computerized control system. Another way to classify high performance fibers and high technology textile materials or products is by types of appHcations. A scheme of 10 main categories has been adopted (Table 4) and is similar to several classification schemes previously reported (28). 

Transportation. High performance fibers and high technology textile products have many appHcations ia the transportation area. Composites are increasingly used as stmctural materials ia aircraft components such as horizontal stabilizers, fins, landing gear doors, fan blades, and nose spia cones.

In landfills, vinyl wastes, like all plastics, are extremely resistant to decomposition. In fact, high technology landfills are often lined with thick-gauge vinyl and use PVC pipe to handle Hquid leachate and methane gas for environmental protection. 

For friction material appHcations, composite materials (qv) comprising glass or metallic fibers with other minerals have been developed. In such appHcations also, aramid and graphite fibers are effective, although the cost of these materials restricts their use to heavy duty or high technology appHcations (see Carbon fibers). 

Sihcate glass is a familiar, ubiquitous material, used in beverage containers, window panes, and automobile windshields. Increasingly, however, unusual glasses are being employed in high technology appHcations.

The use of poUutiou-preventiou principles on the home front clearly does not involve the use of high-technology equipment or major lifestyle changes success is only dependent upon active and williug pubhc participation. All can help to make a difference.
