Journal article peer-reviewed

Journals could be considered technically sophisticated trade magazines. Like their more commercial brothers, journals cover a wide gamut of topics, but each journal tends to have a tightly focused subject area. By and large, journals are more often oriented to the scientific, academic, and research communities, and articles are typically written by members of those same communities. Most journals require peer review of submitted papers prior to publication, which normally will take topics out of the range of the more commercially oriented to the generally technical/scientific side. 

Ground Water (0017-467X) (1745-6584). This technical publication is strictly for groundwater hydrogeologists. Each issue of the journal contains peer-reviewed scientific articles on pertinent groundwater subjects.

He is a recognized expert in solid state and materials chemistry and environmental chemistry. He has active programs in solid state f-element chemistry and nanomaterials science. His current research interests include heavy metal detection and remediation in aqueous environments, ferroelectric nanomaterials, actinide and rare-earth metal sohd slate chemistry, and nuclear non-proliferation. He currently maintains a collaboration in nuclear materials with Los Alamos National Laboratory and a collaboration in peaceful materials science development with the Russian Federal Nuclear Center - VNIIEF, Sarov, Russia, U.S. State Department projects. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and reviews, while presenting over 130 international and national invited lectures on his area of chemistry. Dr. Dorhout currently serves as Vice Provost for Graduate Studies and Assistant Vice President for research. He has also served as the Interim Executive Director for the Office of International Programs and as Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education for the College of Natural Sciences at Colorado State University. 

Evidence-Based Medicine. Evidence-Based Medicine [45] consists of summarized abstracts of articles on family medicine, internal medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, psychiatry, and anesthesiology with commentary by clinical experts. More than 50 peer-reviewed medical journals are abstracted. Also included are key selections from ACP Journal Club. Evidence-Based Medicine is commercially available however, its distribution is restricted and does not include North, Central, or South America. 

Over the last decade, the growth in SPMD research and applications has been remarkable. Reports on this work have been in the form of graduate degree (masters and Ph.D.) theses, abstracts from presentations, laboratory reports, journal articles and book chapters. Herein, we provide the reader with a list of SPMD related peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. However, we do not claim that this list is complete and apologize in advance to authors of articles not included. In light of the current rate of the publication of SPMD related articles, additional papers will undoubtedly be available by the time this book is published. 

Where this early work does not exist, or proves to be inappropriate, the use of a procedure for a structurally-related species is a good starting place. Module 1 focuses entirely on writing a journal-quality paper, a paper suitable for submission to a refereed chemistry journal. Refereed journals include only articles that have made it through a rigorous peer-review process. In this process. 

In Writing on Your Own task2B, you generated a list of three to five keywords related to your paper topic. Use these keywords to search for peer-reviewed journal articles about your topic. The goal is to find at least four articles relevant to your research area. Search scientific databases such as American Chemical Society Publications or ScienceDirect be cautious with general Internet search engines, such as Google, because they do not limit searches to the primary literature.

The primary source of information about the benefits and risks of drugs is found in the scientific literature in articles that have been submitted to independent referees and peer review, and been published in any of the currently available 20,000 biomedical journals. The largest and most commonly used medical bibliographic database, Medline, contains over 15 million citations today, and a search using the word drug gives 3.3 million citations. 

The law abolishes the long-standing prohibition on dissemination by manufacturers of information about unapproved uses of drugs and medical devices. The act allows a firm to disseminate peer-reviewed journal articles about an ojf-label indication of its product, provided the company commits itself to file, within a specified timeframe, a supplemental application based on appropriate research to establish the safety and effectiveness of the unapproved use.3... 

As mentioned above, outbreaks of DXM abuse seem to have increased with the rise of the Internet. Literature reviews and newspaper articles on DXM have frequently included pejorative or alarmist comments about the abundance and inaccuracy of DXM-related information found on the Internet. Yet the seminal Internet document about DXM, William White s DXM FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)115— first posted to Usenet newsgroups in 1994, and made available on the Web in November of that year — was exhaustive (with scholarly interpretations of hundreds of studies from peer-reviewed journals) and balanced (with the risks of DXM abuse emphasized throughout). If the mid-to-late-1990s upswing in DXM abuse is to be attributed partly to the Internet s ability to spread information widely, perhaps it should also be attributed to the tendency of some readers not to absorb information thoroughly. 

The bulk of the references are original papers and review articles in peer-reviewed journals. I cite reviews and books when introducing a subject, and articles when discussing specific examples. Chapter 1 also contains a Further Reading list of recommended books on related specialized subjects.

Toxicological Sciences, the official SOT journal, is distributed monthly in print and electronically. The journal publishes premier peer-reviewed, hypothesis-driven, original research articles that are broadly relevant to assessing the potentially adverse health effects resulting from exposure of humans or animals to chemicals, drugs, natural products, or synthetic materials. Studies may involve experimental animals or human subjects, or they may focus on in vitro methods or alternatives to the use of experimental animals. Sections include original research, reviews, forum articles on policy or research issues, editorials, letters to the editor, and supplementary data guidelines. 

Journal article citations for many of the reactions listed come from theJ Am Acad Dermatol, Arch Dermatol, Cutis, Int J Dermatol, Contact Dermatitis, Br J Dermatol, JAMA, Lancet, BMJ, Aust J Dermatol, N EnglJ Med, Ann Intern Med, and many other prominent and easily accessible journals. There are occasional allusions to the incidence of many of the listed ADRs. Percentages are obtained from these peer reviewed and published articles.
