Refereed journals

The bulk of the patent specification is the disclosure, the text and illustrations that describe the claimed invention in detail and explain how the claimed invention differs from the prior art. Modem patent disclosures contain a summary of the claimed invention, a description of the background of the invention, a general description of the way in which the invention is made and used, specific examples, and, where appHcable, drawings of the invention in general or specific embodiments. The technical information provided in a patent specification may be used without infringing the patent only practicing the invention defined in the claims within the term and territory of the patent grant is forbidden. Because much of the information in patent specifications is never pubHshed in refereed journals or other nonpatent media, patent disclosures are an invaluable part of the technical Hterature.

A prolific author, Professor van Eldik has been responsible for some 580 papers in refereed journals, and four books as editor or co-editor. His current research intrests are the application of high pressure techniques in mechanistic studies metal-catalyzed autoxidation processes and bioinorganic studies. As such he is eminently qualified to edit the prestigious Advances in Inorganic Chemistry. In spite of this difficult acceptance, it is quite remarkable to note that by the end of 1990 about two dozen publications on dendrimers had appeared in refereed journals. By the end of 1991 the rate of publication of dendrimer papers had started to climb markedly while there still were only three papers on random hyperbranched polymers and two on dendrigraft or arborescent polymers. His current area of research interests include structural and functional models of vanadate-dependent haloperoxidases, coordination polymers and their catalytic study, metal complexes encapsulated in zeolite cages and their catalytic study, polymer-anchored metal complexes and their catalytic study, and medicinal aspects of coordination compounds. So far, he has guided 21 doctoral and 7 Master s theses, co-authored more than 140 research papers in the international refereed journals. 

Dr. Zhang holds several adjunct professorships, including one at the University of Waterloo and one at the University of British Columbia. His research is mainly based on fuel cell catalysis development. He has coauthored more than 200 publications, including 150 refereed journal papers and three edited books. Fie also holds over 10 US. patents and patent publications. Dr. Zhang is an active member of the Electrochemical Society, the International Society of Electrochemistry, and the American Chemical Society. 

Module 1 focuses entirely on writing a journal-quality paper, a paper suitable for submission to a refereed chemistry journal. Refereed journals include only articles that have made it through a rigorous peer-review process. In this process.

The Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) reprints titles and abstracts from refereed journal articles to facilitate searches of the chemical literature. 

Rarely did the intramuscular or intravenous doses exceed 1.5 times the Incapacitating dose. Hirotsugu Yasuda is Professor Emeritus of Chemical Engineering and Director of the Center for Surface Science and Plasma Technology, University of Missouri-Columbia. He has over. 300 publications in refereed journals and books and was a pioneer in the exploration of low-pressure plasma for surface modification of materials and deposition of nanofilms as barrier and permselective membranes in the late 1960s.
