GSD-10 is formulated for slow fine grain films like Kodak T-Max 100, Fuji Acres 100, and Ilford Delta 100 but can also be used with films ranging from slow document- type and ortho films, to IR. 

Manages databases of various types of documents. Supports advanced searching for document contents and abstracts, key words. Automatically tracks document types. 

There are many ways to write schemas for XML documents, but only a few are commonly used. XML designers usually select from this triumvirate of schema languages Document Type Definition (DTD), W3C XML Schema, and RelaxNG. Sometimes they augment their validation with Schematron rules. 

A homogeneous document type created from many other types of document but stored in a standard or proprietary file format. The international standard is SGML. Proprietary formats include Adobe s PDF format. A semiportable file format is HTML, which is used on the Internet World Wide Web. See also the compound file formats. Files cannot usually be edited. Editing tools normally require an operating system with a graphical user interface (GUI). 

The simplest document type to manage. Typically created in word processor, it consists only of characters belonging to the ASCII or ANSI sets (text and some symbols). Such documents can be viewed by the word processor program itself or a file viewer program in most systems. Many proprietary formats exist but the most popular have become de facto standard formats. 

A homogenous document type, stored in a standard graphical file format. Includes scanned paper documents. Many file formats exist, from raw bit-mapped pictures to highly complex vectored drawings in a CAD environment. Simplest file formats are bit-mapped formats (e.g., TIFF, PCX, GIF, JPEG) or generic vectored formats (e.g., WMF, CGM, DXF). Many proprietary formats exist. Some CAD formats include product database information. 

All document types including more complex ones such as integrated batch documentation, illustrated SOPs. All document types must be stored in a neutral file format. 

The document types that may be stored within the system may have a wide variety of file formats and sources, and range from just key documents to the totality of documents generated for a project. Eor each type of document stored in the EDMS, it is important to define the original version (i.e., as paper or electronic).

The EPO esp cenet (ep.espacenet.com) database contains more than 60 million patents from 85 conntries worldwide (not just European Convention countries). The database is searchable by application number, assignee, inventor, or keywords from the title or abstract. Chemical structure searches are not possible. Patents can be viewed as images of the original document in PDF format one page at a time, or the whole patent can be viewed as a text document. Instantaneous translation from French or German into English is available for the latter document type if required. Equivalent pnblished patents, if any, are also listed and are available in PDF format. The text documents do not show chemical structures or diagrams, but these can be viewed in PDF format if required. 

It is possible to use filters (see Fig. A.3) in order to refine the search by year, document type (journal, patent, review, etc.), author, or company. A window is returned containing references categorized by their relationship to the search phrase, as shown in Fig. A.4. One then simply checks those reference hsts that appear closest to the area of interest.

In the context of a case of severe reactivation of recent sunburn after a single injection of methotrexate for ectopic pregnancy in a 40-year-old woman, the authors reviewed the literature on methotrexate photosensitivity (75). Photodermatitis reactivation is the only well-documented type of photosensitivity associated with methotrexate. It can occur if methotrexate is given at 2-5 days after excessive exposure to ultraviolet or X-radiation.

A static description of the documents given by a classification of the document types together with a description of their interrelations. 

In the following, we present an approach to document modeling that allows to describe the three aspects postulated by Salminen et al. on a coarse-grained level within a single representation language. Firstly, we will discuss how individual document types and their dependencies can be described. Next, we will introduce a method to describe the dynamic behavior of documents. Finally, the modeling of syntactic as well as semantic content will be addressed. 

For the identification of the individual document types existing in a given application area, document-oriented work process models can be exploited -either generic work process models (e.g., [851]) or models of particular work processes (e.g., [17] or Sect. 5.1 of this book). Other possible information sources are articles and textbooks that cover the handling of documents in engineering projects (e.g., [853, 957, 1004, 1027[), technical rules and standards (e.g., [634]), or project execution manuals as they are available in various chemical engineering companies.
