Tracking, automatic

Events that are created in a loop track automatically repeat (loop) when the event extends beyond the length of the original media file. A small notch in the top and bottom of the looped event divides each repetition (see Figure 2.13). 

The servo follower is a device in which the output voltage is continuously compared with the input in order to reduce any difference to zero. When differences in voltage do occur a circuit is unbalanced, the rotor of a motor is caused to move and a potentiometer on the motor shaft is turned to change the output to again equal the input. The follower is used to continually cause manual controls to track automatic operation ... 

The valence-sum rule (Eq. 2 in chapter Bond Valence Theory ) requires that the sum of the bond-valences incident at any cation or anion must be equal to its valence. It is useful to regard bond valences as directed, as this keeps track automatically of the nature (cation or anion) of the ion occupying any site in a structure. Here, we adhere to the convention that bond valences from a cation to an anion are positive, and bond valences from an anion to a cation are negative. 

Recent developments in cooling-tower fan energy management also include automatic variable-pitch propeller-type fans and inverter-type devices to permit variable fan speeds. These schemes involve tracking the loaa at a constant leaving-water temperature. 

Provide bumpless (smooth) transfer and setpoint tracking for switching among automatic, manual, and cascade. 

For FieldNotes, the general log for the test substance will automatically track usage for each application at all sites. When the same container of test substance is used for several studies, the data will appear to be atypical. If QA is auditing individual study data, the numbers will not seem to be accurate for a particular study. QA must be made aware when one container is used for different studies during the audit. Consequently, sending a separate container of test substance for each trial and/or study is recommended in order to facilitate tracking during the audit.

Several commercial calorimeters are available to characterize runaway reactions. These include the accelerating rate calorimeter (ARC), the reactive system screening tool (RSST), the automatic pressure-tracking adiabatic calorimeter (APTAC), and the vent sizing package (VSP). Each calorimeter has a different sample size, container design, data acquisition hardware, and data sensitivity.

Hydrogen gas is released in the reaction. You can track the decrease in mass, due to the escaping hydrogen, by carrying out the reaction in an open vessel on an electric balance. The decrease in mass can be plotted against time. Some electronic balances can be connected to a computer, with the appropriate software, to record mass and time data automatically as the reaction proceeds. 

It is also possible to use the information which has been stored to write programs for other tasks. A useful one, for example, keeps track of the stoichiometry (i.e. total atom counts) of the system. For a closed system, stoichiometry should be automatically maintained by linear predictor-corrector solvers, and the stoichiometry program provides a diagnostic of numerical errors (and others) which have accumulated. In other than closed systems, it gives an independent check on the sources and sinks which are being modeled. 

Therapeutic principles. In healthy subjects, the amount of insuUn is automatically matched to carbohydrate intake, hence to blood glucose concentration. The critical secretory stimulus is the rise in plasma glucose level. Food intake and physical activity (increased glucose uptake into musculature, decreased insulin demand) are accompanied by corresponding changes in insulin secretion (A, left track).
