Testing must be conducted in a typical end-user environment, or in a simulated end-user environment, identical with the environment where the software/computer system will be used. Documentation of testing can be recorded as raw data, such as in a logbook, and should include the parameters tested, and the results of testing. The data should be tabulated as a final report document that includes all details included in the test plan, their execution, the results, and conclusions. The final report document must be signed by appropriate personnel, reviewed as needed, and archived. Upon successful completion of testing, the software/computer system can be released for testing and use in an actual end-user environment. [Pg.1057]

The gross effects of the operating parameters on CHF are correlated empirically in the range of parameters tested. The selection of which operating parameters to use in a specific correlation should be made under the guidance of insight into the CHF mechanism revealed by microscopic analyses as well as by visual observations obtained in simulated tests as described previously. [Pg.395]

Computer validation establishes documented evidence to show that the computerized system will consistently function and meet its predetermined specification and quality attributes with a high degree of assurance. Some of the parameters tested in the validation process include the following ... [Pg.304]

Other tests are cited in ASTM 3574 and other standards, but they are of less importance in the context of how we will use them. Among parameters tested are resilience, fatigue/durability, flammability, and creep. A polyurethane devised to meet our primary objectives of density, tensile strength, compression, air flow, etc., will probably lead to values for these other properties that will have to be adjusted on a systems basis. [Pg.62]

The results from the two laboratories (Tables IX and X) show an overall percentage deviation of 43.3 from the fortified values. No strong trends related to the parameters tested were evident, although laboratory A experienced poorer accuracy at the lower spiking levels. [Pg.318]

Singleton and Pattee (84) investigated the various parameters necessary to optimize conditions for the analysis of TGs using a UV detector at 210 nm. The parameters tested were (a) the effect of sample solvent on TG analysis (b) the effect of mobile-phase composition on the sorption behavior of TGs (c) the effect of sample load level on TG analysis and (d) the temperature effects on TG analysis. [Pg.211]

Parameters tested for the correlations were bond orders, atomic charges and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) parameters. Of the 12 sulfonylureas, a QSAR was developed for six of the compounds that hydrolyze exclusively at the sulfonylurea bridge. Equation (31) gives the best correlation for this group of compounds ... [Pg.346]

Finally we should mention here that any distribution tends to produce outliers. Hence, our advice is to perform parameter tests before outlier tests and deletion. For normal distribution we can perform simple tests of skewness and excess using the /-test Skewness is tested against the critical value ... [Pg.43]

Combinations of inoculum amounts and moisture contents tested in this exploratory study are shown in Fig. 1 controls lacking inoculum were also conducted at 0.4-0.77 g of H20/g of stems and are not shown in Fig. 1. The first tests performed (4) are represented by the 12 points in the lower left-hand corner of Fig. 1. When these tests indicated that higher inoculum was needed for better selectivity and that higher moisture was needed for faster degradation (4), parameter testing moved to the combinations plotted in the upper middle and right-hand corner of Fig. 1. [Pg.76]

A series of laboratory experiments compared products from reactions of biomass with water with those of biomass with water and carbonic acid. The three parameters that determined reaction severity were the reaction temperature, reaction duration, and carbonic acid concentration (psi of C02) (25). The parameters tested were 180,190,200, and 220°C 0 (at room temperature) and 800 psi (at room temperature) and 4,8,16,32, and 64 min. Using the severity function as defined by Overend and Chomet (28),... [Pg.1075]

At the end of the exposure period, the residual test chemical should be removed, using (if necessary) water or an appropriate solvent. The observation period for acute dermal toxicity in the animals should be at least 14 days. For clinical examination and pathology, the parameters tested for acute oral toxicity may be followed. [Pg.470]

The optimization of the atomic absorption method of determining metals in particulates found in the air of workplace is described. The Plackett-Burman Youden-Steiner balanced incomplete block designs as well as single-factor experiments were utilized with ten metals Be, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, and Pd. Of the parameters tested, perchloric acid digestion, flame-stoichiometry, and the composition of the calibration standards were the most significant. Perchloric acid affected the recoveries of chromium. This was attributed to the formation of volatile chromylchloride. Flame-related phenomena and interelemental effects were brought under control using lanthanum flame buffer. [Pg.299]

LC-MS/MS methods are usually subjected to a validation procedure before they are used for routine analysis. In case of GLP studies or clinical studies, a validation is considered to be mandatory. During the validation procedure, the assay is evaluated with respect to the overall performance. Parameters tested are the limit of quantification (5 1 signal/noise ratio), within batch and inter batch reproducibility (accuracy and precision), recovery, specificity and long-term sample stability in matrix (Shah 2000, EEC Guidance on validation 1994, EEC Guidance on validation 1996, FDA Guidance for Industry 2001). [Pg.611]

Shorter expansions of S are obtainable by use of the final inverse matrix A. Taking an Ua-parameter test vector 6a from and taking the other basis parameters at least-squares values conditional on 6a, one obtains the expansion... [Pg.105]
