Operational test parameters recommended validation

Frequency factor calculation is a useful monitoring tool however, much care is required in the measurement of operating parameters. As seen in Figure 10.15, incomplete plant data can give considerable scatter, making it difficult to establish the normal trend. This type of model was validated with commercial plant data set however, it is recommended to test the model against pilot plant experimental data in order to ensure the accuraey of the established parameters and to improve the prediction of the model.
