For a power frequency voltage withstand test a d.c. test is generally not recommended on a.e. equipment, unless only d.c., test voltage is available at the plaee of testing. The d.e. test values, as above, are therefore for such eventualities only and are equivalent to power frequency a.c. voltage withstand test values. 

The general recommendations on energy and fat intake are similar to those for the avoidance of heart disease. However, the recommendation to consume a variety of fruits and vegetables is based partly on the putative presence of diverse protective factors in plant foods. This concept does provide, at least in principle, a rationale for the functional health benefits of plant foods beyond the simple provision of nutrients at a level that prevents symptoms of deficiency.

If the equilibrium factor is 0.5, then the NCRP recommended action level is equivalent to 8 pCi/1 or twice the current EPA guidline of 4 pCi/1. It is important to note that NCRP has made its recommendation on the decay product not the radon concentration. There is currently some uncertainty as to the precise level at which action should be taken. There is general agreement that remedial action is clearly needed above 20 pCi/1 and at levels of 100 pCi/1 and higher, immediate action is required. 

In the second phase searches were made on the system and subsystem level. This is needed for the comparison of process alternatives and for the design of the exothermic reactor and its heat transfer systems. Carbonylation of methanol is an exothermic reaction. Thus only the exothermal reactors were searched. The CBR search found two cases which are general recommendations on the design of exothermic reactors with heat transfer systems. They are shown in Fig. 8 and 9. 

P.Y.120 has less of an impact on the paint industry. In contrast to the similarly colored P.Y.97, P.Y.120 is fast to overcoating. Moreover, it exhibits noticeably higher durability. White reductions, reduced 1 1 to about 1 5, are approximately as durable as P.Y.151 systems. P.Y.120 is recommended for general industrial finishes, including automotive refinishes, and it is also suitable for use in architectural paints. P.Y.120 is completely fast to alkali. 

The aforementioned papers (Guinier et al. 1984, Zvyagin 1987) also contain suggestions and recommendations on the nomenclature and symbolism for use in the general case of either simple or complex polytypic structures. 

The recommended design criteria presented in this chapter are based on generally accepted codes and standards and individual company standards. 

The first warning against the use of phthalates in toys was the Recommendation adopted by the European Commission on 1 July 1998 concerning toys and childcare articles intended to be placed in the mouth by children under three years of age, made of soft PVC and containing phthalates. The Commission Decision of 7 December 1999 (1999/815/EC) [58] made it possible to prohibit the use of certain phthalates on the basis of the legislation on general product [59]. Since 1999, The Commission Decision 1999/815/EC [58] was extended more than 20 times in the name of the precautionary principle until the adoption of Directive 2005/84/EC [60]. This Directive restricted the use of DEHP, DBP, and BBP in the manufacmre of toys and childcare articles intended for children and DiNP, DiDP, and DnOP are limited only in toys and childcare articles which can be placed in the mouth. The restriction states that the amount of phthalates may not be greater than 0.1% by mass of the plasticized material part of the toys. The member states of the EU applied this directive from 16 January 2007.
