These listings do not include all the methods in use. The vahdity of a particular method depends on the process and the industiy. An inappropriate method can lead to misleading and even absurd results. 

Whichever method applies you should define it within your quality system. You should maintain lists of all the devices that require calibration and indicate in these lists ... 

These lists tell us something about the nature of quality records, especially by what is not included. Absent from the lists are policies, procedures, instructions, plans, specifications, and any other prescriptive documents. The records all have one thing in common they describe the results of some activity - the results of inspections, tests, reviews, audits, assessments, calculations, etc. However, these lists are dominated by records relating to product quality rather than to the operations of the quality system. In addition to audit records, the following records may need to be maintained to demonstrate the effectiveness of the quality system ... 

The development of the CCPS Taxonomy was essential, and it is one of the most useful results of preparing this book. There are to be found lists of chemical substances in handbooks for each of which log P = f (T), and whose coefficients are to be inserted, are given. These lists are limited but nevertheless provide solutions for the most common chemical substances. When there are several experimental estimates of vapour pressures it is possible to estimate the importance of the experimental uncertainty from the standard deviation of the measurements. The relevance of the values can be verified from a series of different sources (to be rigorous, checking that it is a Gaussian sequence would be required).

Customer preference is also an increasingly important consideration when selecting biocides for use in products. Large manufacturers such as Ford, Volvo, BMW and SKF, to name but a few, are producing lists of materials they do not want to see in their factories. Many biocides are on these lists. Currently, they are not prohibited, but this may only be a matter of time. 

Wastes from the production of certain chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbons listings designate as hazardous certain wastestreams produced in the manufacture of chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbons. These listings stand out on the F list (the list of wastes from nonspecific sources), because... 

If waterproofing or dampproofing treatments that are effective gas barriers and that can be sealed at joints and penetrations could be identified, then walls could be made radon resistant. Acceptable dampproofing or waterproofing treatments are specifically listed in building codes in many areas of the United States these lists are periodically amended as new materials come into use. These coatings apply primarily to basement walls. 

When naming compounds containing species not on these lists, it may help to find a chemical species on the list from the same family or a polyatomic ion that is similar. 

The goals of the CE in publishing the Blue Book are to provide a list of flavoring substances according to their acceptability for use in food, as well as to supplement and revise these lists when necessary, and to recommend to the manufacturers of flavoring substances, the criteria which must be met in order to assist the Committee of Experts to form an opinion on the safety of the flavoring substance in food. 

We have maintained the same balance of information in the new chapter and therefore details of specific applications of techniques are not discussed, for example, DNA fingerprinting. Where appropriate, we have included titles of books which have an emphasis on applications in the further reading list at the end of each chapter. These lists are not intended to be fully comprehensive, nor are the chapters referenced as we consider this to be inappropriate for the level of potential readership.

Bulleted or numerical lists Discussion items and conclusions may be presented in paragraph or list form. In Discussion section lists, complete sentences are more common than fragments. (See the guidelines presented in the poster Methods section for formatting these lists.) Conclusions are usually set apart from the Discussion section with a separate heading. 

Fireworks that meet the requirements of BS7114 must also be included in a publication called the UK List of Classified and Authorised Explosives (LOCAL) and more recently by LOCAF (the UK List of Classified and Authorised Fireworks 1999). These lists originate from the Explosives Acts and relate to civilian rather than to military explosives. Thus, the 1994 edition of LOCAL contains articles ascribed to Kimbolton, Pains and Le Maitre. For example, included in the FIREWORKS columns, will be found STANDARD SET PIECE. For this particular entry, the United Nations Serial Number is given as 0336, the Hazard Code is 1.4G, the UK Class and Division is 7.2, while the Competent Authority (HSE) Reference is GB 72411. 

There is a large class of compounds that are capable of releasing histamine. They can be enzymes, toxins, morphine, d-tubocurarine, and polymers such as dextran. Moreover, tissue damage such as trauma, bites, and stress can also cause a release of histamine, and in all probability as a result, an endogenous polypeptide bradykinin is released. Action of all of these listed substances as well as a number of others can facilitate formation of anaphylactic reactions in the organism. 

The alchemists also thought of the chemical processes in the Opus as a ladder leading them to gnosis. They would compose lists of seven principle processes. Throughout this book, we will list resources for further reading at the end of each chapter. You should think of these lists as pointers to help you learn about topics we have mentioned or simplified in a detailed way. We have made no attempt to make these lists exhaustive in any sense (to understand why, find out how many textbooks exist dealing with quantum mechanics in some form or another). 

Develop a list of (1) identified existing active substances, (2) notified existing active substances. These lists will be published at a later date by the Commission. 

Each of the study areas summarized in the previous sections has ended with a list of research recommendations. These lists are not exhaustive, but they do contain those issues which the most experienced scientists in the field of receptor modeling believe are in need of resolution for the specific study area.
