The three-part draft of the radioscopy standard pr EN 13068 is ready for the necessary european inquiries. This standard covers the requirements placed on the imaging system, the checking procedures as to the performance of the entire system and also the specifications of user guidelines for certain inspection tasks. The standard remains open to the definition of new inspection classes for future application cases. 

The NDT Newsgroup and other forums are playing an important role in expediting meeting and communieation among your NDT colleagues on the Internet - Email is the most important tool for that. Not only technical discussions but also business to business or even direct inquiries are today handled via the Internet. Statistics are presented with more information on specific usage. 

Announcements of opportunities, technical inquiries, availability of capabilities, call for papers, requests for proposals, employment announcements. Figure 3 shows a breakdown of newsgroup messages by topic.

The effort to clarify and articulate the principles of spectrometry as simply as possible appears to have struck a welcome response among those who use mass spectrometers. The original series was not advertised, but, once it had been discovered outside the Micromass organization, there were inquiries as to how it could be purchased. From the start. Micromass offered the series free in a ring-binder format and later also provided it free on CD ROM and then on the Internet. Updating of the first CD led to over 600 requests for it on the day after its release had been announced on the Internet. Partly because of this response — but mainly because users or potential users frequently like to have a traditional reference book — it was decided to publish the series in this present book form.

As a general rule, marketing research studies involving comprehensive coverage of competitive firms requkes personal contacts. Telephone inquiries usually are futile unless the respondent is a friend of long-standing, the mail surveys are generally unsuitable. 

Emissions During Plasticizer Production and Distribution. Phthalate plasticizers are produced by esterification of phthaUc anhydride in closed systems hence losses to atmosphere are minimal. The ASME Code is written by a large committee and many subcommittees, composed of engineers appointed by the ASME. It may be appropriate to request that candidate tollers provide contacts at previous client facilities to allow general inquiries about their performance. This allows a company seeking a toller to determine whether the safety, environmental and quality programs are truly implemented as written. While it is somewhat tedious to document the myriad details that have at this point been agreed to, it is time to rewrite the inquiry specifications. Care should be taken regarding the vendor s cardiac health to use the same verbage so as not to appear to be springing surprises. The best way to upset the vendor is to write into the specification something completely new or different from all the previous agreements.
