Details of new publications of the UKAEA are noted in the daily, monthly, annual and cumulated lists of government publications and in the British National Bibliography. Sectional List No. 63 issued by HMSO lists all reports for sale up to the end of December 1960. In addition the library at AERE, Harwell, issues a Monthly List of Publications Available to the Public which includes reports and translations issued by the UKAEA, patents claimed by the Authority and articles by members of its staff that have appeared in journals. It also provides a list of depository libraries and indicates the price of those reports available for sale. Annual cumulations have been issued since 1956. [Pg.205]

Literature searches are also available from OTS on a fee basis. These are performed to meet special needs which are not covered by a currently available OTS Selective Bibliography. Under this service OTS will compile lists of relevant publications in its collection rf government research reports, unclassified and declassified AEG reports, technical translations, and OTS files of government-owned patents. The fee for this service is 8 per hour, and the customer may limit the time to be spent on a search. Indexes or abstract publications may be used to determine the document desired. A very comprehensive bibliography on New Guides and Aids to Public Documents Use has been prepared by Jerome K. Wilcox, hbrarian of the College of the City of New York, and a well-known authority on this subject ( ). A list of books and periodical articles relating to the use of government documents, supplementing the material found in the Wilcox bibliography, was prepared recently by Spencer C. Stanford, head of the Research Library at Brookhaven National Laboratory. [Pg.70]

A government pubhcation which is a model of a useful index to technical material prepared both economically and quickly is the Department of Agriculture s Bibliography of Agriculture. It is issued monthly and is as comprehensive as its editors know how to make it. The February 1950 issue contains approximately 8000 different entries. An index is compiled annually in December. The printed publications of the Department of Agriculture which are listed in the bibliography are usually available in limited supply for free distribution, and photoprint or microfilm copies of any publication listed may be obtained from the Library of the Department of Agriculture. [Pg.72]

His bibliography includes over 300 medical papers and more than 200 abstracts. Dr. Preuss has edited or co-edited six books and three symposia published in well-established journals. Micellar effects have been studied so extensively during recent years that it is impossible to cover the subject in an extensive monograph, let one a chapter. Therefore this discussion will be selective, and will consider largely thermal reactions in aqueous solutions of micelles and the factors which govern chemical reactivity in these systems.
