Books and Other Resources

This book is a report of the scientific aspects of the disease itself (see Part I What Is MCS ) and a journal of personal experiences and an ethnography of life with MCS (see Part 11 The Personal Situation and Part III The Voices of Others). It contains tips, advice and information in several fields, and important addresses and links for the MCS patient (see Part IV The ABCs of MCS, Part V Films, Books and Other Resources, Part VI Further Resources). In conclusion, Part VII Providing Information to Others, is a guide that may help to inform others.

The first and most natural response to some emergency is a moment of panic, particularly if you fear that your own safety is in jeopardy. So, the first, best response is simply to recognize that moment of panic, take a deep breath to calm down (a bit), and then decide how to respond based on your training using this book and other resources at your school. 

This third edition of Analytical Chemistry for Technicians is the culmination and final product of a series of four projects funded by the National Science Foundation s Advanced Technological Education Program and two supporting grants from the DuPont Company. The grant funds have enabled me to utilize an almost limitless reservoir of human and other resources in the development and completion of this manuscript and to vastly improve and update the previous edition. This chapter identifies the broad variety of helpful websites, support organizations, pertinent books, technical articles, and other resources that are essential to consider when developing or improving a chemical process safety program. It is clear that there were Material and provisionary outcomes from all projects, as the budget included a 1000 grant to be spent on books, equipment, and other resources.
