Sales confirmed

If you want to be able to operate with short throughput times on schedule in the market, it must be guaranteed in advance for all resources at the latest when customer orders are accepted or when sales confirms targeted goals that in the relevant future and at least in theory... [Pg.85]

Planned independent requirements give the impression of a defined cross-scope material flow (i.e., a flow with a possible target outside of the organizational unit considered) at a given time with a given quantity but in most cases they are only based on a rough monthly sales demand forecast figure for the finished product. This means that the requirement quantity and date of a planned independent requirement are less reliable and stable than the requirement quantity and date of a confirmed customer requirement. [Pg.271]

Stadtler addresses the aspect of multi-level manufacturing of semifinished and final assembly products as well as multi-level distribution steps. He also introduces different node types for procurement, production, distribution and sales and confirms the one-directional flow of material... [Pg.26]

Sales order management deals with order entry, order change, availability check and confirmations to the customer. Availability check as a concept and as part of Advanced Planning Systems (APS) is also summarized under the term Available-To-Promise (Kilger/Schneeweiss 2004 Pibemick 2005). The availability has to be checked against the sales plan as stable framework for the overall period and the physically available material at the specific point in time. [Pg.63]

Instrnments, kits, or test systems labeled for research use only or for investigational nse only have not been cleared by the United States Food and Drng Administration for sale to diagnose disease or other conditions. These products cannot be nsed as a diagnostic tool unless diagnosis is confirmed with a medically accepted test or procednre. Therefore, the laboratory mnst clearly state in the report that the test resnlts are not to be nsed for diagnostic or treatment purposes. [Pg.413]

Typical FeasihiUty Phase (FEL-2) Deliverables These are listed below. In this phase, emphasis is on determining the best technical and economic flow scheme, as well as the support systems required to provide the necessary annual production rate at the sales quality required. The focus for the process engineer should be on confirming the number and type of process and technology studies needed, as well as the number of alternate cases required to be evaluated and/or simulated. [Pg.47]

In a letter to the Annals of Philosophy, dated Cambridge, February 18, 1820, Edward Daniel Clarke wrote as follows Some varieties of radiated blende from Przibram in Bohemia are described by Stromeyer as containing two or three per cent of cadmium. At a sale. .. in London, I procured specimens of the particular mineral thus alluded to, which were sold under the name of splendent fibrous blende from Przibram, pronounced Pritzbram. I found afterwards that they had been brought to England by Mr. J. Sowerby of Lisle-street, a dealer in minerals.. . . Upon my return to Cambridge, I endeavoured to obtain cadmium from this ore, and succeeded. . . (133). Clarke also found this element in die zinc silicate from Derbyshire, England, and his results were soon confirmed by W. H. Wollaston and J. G. Children. In 1822 Clarke published a paper on the presence of cadmium in commercial sheet zinc (134). [Pg.534]

Thus they wrote the records of the king s victories and the annals of his reign thus their title-deeds, and deeds attest-Fig. Ana. ing an d confirming the sale... [Pg.757]

Moreover, the sale of salt crystals grown in highly concentrated brines (in particular MgS04-7 H20), might potentially reduce the overall desalination cost, thus confirming the potential interest for the proposed approach. [Pg.269]

The distribution system may also be the initial point at which returns to the warehouse reenter the supply chain system, for example, if goods are supplied to wholesalers on a sale or return basis. Depending on the functionality and interfaces of the system, upon completion of successful deliveries, it may provide confirmation of this activity back to the Sales Order Processing System. [Pg.807]

There is an important question to be asked, i.e., does the product meet the needs of the consumer The development staff believes they have captured marketing s vision with their product offering however, the marketing and sales units must concur. The decision is generally in the sales unit, because those people are responsible for making the product available to the consumer and, more important, they are responsible to see that the product meets the consumer demands, real or perceived. It is expected that any pertinent focus groups or market research studies would be completed before the scale-up effort. These studies help confirm the product concept and its viability in the marketplace. [Pg.3719]

Scientists have conducted several studies and the totality of the available data showed little evidence of the effectiveness of ephedra except for modest, short-term weight loss without any clear health benefit, while confirming that the substance raises blood pressure and otherwise stresses the circulatory system. These effects are linked to significant adverse health outcomes, including heart attack and stroke. On Eebruary 6, 2004, the EDA issued a final rule prohibiting the sale of dietary supplements containing ephedrine alkaloids (ephedra) because such supplements present an unreasonable risk of illness or injury (Table 2). [Pg.1035]

Comfrey is a perennial herb used for the prevention of kidney stones nourishing and repairing bone and muscle and for the treatment of injuries such as burns and bruises. In Australia, comfrey is classified as a poison and its sales have been restricted in several regions. Many different commercial forms of comfrey are marketed, including oral and external products. Commercial comfrey is usually derived from the leaves or roots of Symphytum officinale (common comfrey). However, some products are also derived from Russian comfrey. Russian comfrey contains a very toxic pyrrolizidine alkaloid, echimidine, which is not found in common comfrey. However, common comfrey contains other hepatotoxic alkaloids, namely 7-acetylintermedine, 7-acetyllycopsamine and symphytine. The metabolites of these alkaloids are very toxic to the liver. Ridker et al. documented hepatic venocclusive disease associated with consumption of comfrey root. Long-term smdies in animals have also confirmed the carcinogenicity of comfrey in animal models. ... [Pg.42]

He was also very lucky. This showed not only in his career and perhaps in his chemical intuition, but also, sometimes, in his hobbies. He once bought a jardiniere at a sale in aid of Sussex churches. It was said to be Sevres, and it was not expensive. Subsequently he decided to take it to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, to confirm that it was an imitation and not really a Sevres product. The curator initially agreed that it could not be genuine, so Joseph asked to be shown the Museum collection, which, of course, consists only of genuine items. As they proceeded to inspect the display, starting at the later and moving to the earlier, Joseph s jardiniere resembled more and more the Museum items, and finally the curator had to admit that the jardiniere was a genuine and very rare early Sevres piece, and certainly worth much more than he had paid for it. [Pg.4]
