Revision service

Modifications of already existing project documents are called revisions. The original draft usually gets the revision no. 0. Then, with each revision numbers are counted up. The revision line of the respective document indicates which revision is concerned. The meticulous tracing of modifications and thus of revisions is of utmost importance for the execution of projects, a fact that will be illustrated by the following two examples. 

Example 1 During the project execution, a sub-contractor informs the project engineer responsible for the plant units that for processing reasons it would be better to mount the brackets of the heat exchanger 15 cm higher. 

Finally, due to a misunderstanding between procurement manager and piping engineer, the order will be based on revision no. 1 which contains about 75% of the piping. 

The piping engineer assumes that the order was made on the basis of revision no. 2 of the Usts of components, thus considering 95% of the piping. At the conclusion of the contract with the sub-contractor the project management is pleased with the favourable purchase price which is considerably below the preliminary costing. At the end of

Contracts made between the oil company and supply or service companies are a factor which affects the cost and efficiency of development and production. This the reason why oil companies are revising the types of contract which they agree. Types of contract commonly used in the oil industry are summarised in Section 11.0.

The ASME Code is written by a large committee and many subcommittees, composed of engineers appointed by the ASME. The Code Committee meets regularly to review the code and consider requests for its revision, inter pretation, or extension. Interpretation and extension are accomplished through code cases. The decisions are piibhshed in Mechanical Engineering. Code cases are also mailed to those who subscribe to the service. A typical code case might be the approval of the use of a metal which is not presently on the list of approved code materials. Two major panels of experts publish guidelines for the treatment of HIV-infected individuals. Although the recommendations are quite similar, slight differences do exist between the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Guidelines2 and the International AIDS Society-USA (IAS-USA) Panel Recommendations.4 The DHHS Guidelines are updated every 6 months and current and archived versions are available online at www.aidsinfo.nih.gov. The IAS-USA Guidelines were last updated in 2006, and in 2004 prior to that revision. Due to the intense research and constant modifications to therapeutic approaches in the treatment of HIV, the majority of the treatment algorithms and recommendations presented herein follow the most up-to-date information found in the DHHS recommendations.

The EU eco-label [8] was launched in 1992 when the European Community decided to develop a Europe-wide voluntary environmental scheme that consumers could trust. The EU eco-label covers a huge number of products and services. The criteria are developed by key experts in consultation with main stakeholders in order to decrease the environmental impacts over the entire life cycle of a product. The criteria are revised every 4 years in order to take new developments and knowledge into consideration.

This chapter includes four indices the Alphabetical index, the Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) numbers index, the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision (ICD-10) numbers index, and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons key (OPCW) numbers index. OPCW numbers are found in the "Handbook on Chemicals, version 2002," Appendix 2 in Declaration Handbook 2002 for the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling, and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction. OPCW numbers were developed to provide an easy method for tracking chemical warfare agents and precursors if CAS numbers were not available.

Harmonization of pharmacopeial standards as a practical matter began at the International Congresses of Pharmacy between 1865 and 1910 [2], but the first formal attempt can be traced to 1902. Both USP President Horatio C. Wood, M.D., and Frederick M. Power, Ph.D., an American chemist of the Wellcome Chemical Research Laboratories of London, were appointed by the U.S. Secretary of State as delegates to represent the United States government at the International Conference for the Unification of the Formulae for Heroic Medicines, a conference of 19 countries from Europe and North America [3]. The second conference occurred in 1918. The 3rd in 1925 was attended by 31 countries from all continents except Asia and Australia. They drafted a new International Convention, which came in force in 1929. It revised the 1902 agreements on 77 heroic medicines and introduced the concept of maximum dose. It also requested that the League of Nations create a permanent secretariat of pharmacopeias [4]. Andrew G. DuMez, Ph.D., represented the USP, and was officially appointed by the U.S. Public Health Service to represent the United States at this conference [4,5]. An expert committee of the League of Nations planned a third conference for 1938, but it was never convened because of World War II [2]. 

The specific requirements for piping systems in certain services have been promulgated as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. These rules and regulations will presumably be revised and supplemented from time to time and may include specific requirements not addressed by the B31 sections.
