Appendix I contains a list of typical questions to be used as a reference checklist for the review. It is obvious that for most of the questions a yes or no answer is not sufficient to document the quality of the work and of the EOPs. EOF experts reviewing the work and the package will have to document the answer to these questions and also justify the relative value of each of them. Also, the review will result in a report which includes justified recommendations that preferably should be prioritized. 

As with any power equipment, gas turbines require a program of planned inspections with repair or replacement of damaged components. A properly designed and conducted inspection and preventive maintenance program can do much to increase the availability of gas turbines and reduce unscheduled maintenance. Inspections and preventive maintenance can be expensive, but not as costly as forced shutdowns. Nearly all manufacturers emphasize and describe preventive maintenance procedures to ensure the reliability of their machinery, and any maintenance program should be based on manufacturer s recommendations. Inspection and preventive maintenance procedures can be tailored to individual equipment application with references such as the manufacturer s instruction book, the operator s manual, and the preventive maintenance checklist. 

More shortcut design methods and rules of thumb have been developed for fractionation than probably any other unit operation. For example the paper reprinted in Appendix 5 on development of shortcut equipment design methods contains 18 references for fractionation shortcut methods out of 37 total. Both the process and mechanical aspects of fractionation design have useful rules of thumb. Many of the mechanical design rules of thumb become included in checklists of do s and don ts. 

Additional checklists of items to include in capital cost estimates can be found in References 3 and 7. 

A systematic method of developing operating costs should be devised. A table or form that everyone becomes familiar with helps to make all studies uniform and complete. Reference 1 presents a good form and checklist.

As process plants become more complex, it becomes apparent that it is not possible to rely exclusively on the process worker s skills and memory required to perform the task. Job aids and procedures are devices which aim to reduce the need for human retention of procedures and references as well as the amount of decision making required. Job aids assume a variety of formats including flowcharts, checklists, decision tables, etc., while procedures refer to other systems of documentation such as standard operating instmctions and emergency procedures. 

The requirements for a NADA are set out in 21 CFR 514.1 and summarised in Figure 7.7. A F DA-35 6v form must accompany each submission (see Figure 7.8). This is similar to the form used for human drug submissions in that it captures basic information on the submission and provides a checklist for accompanying documents or materials. The labelling should include instmetions on how to use the drug in the manufacture of medicated feeds, where such use is intended. The CVM may request samples of the dmg product itself reference materials or standards, and samples of food produce from treated animals in order that they can, in conjunction...

In the appendices, the book contains a set of tools including an enterprise-level screening tool, reference information available to conduct the CCPS SVA, ancTa workbook with worksheets for conducting the CCPS SVA, examples of enhanced security measures, and checklists for assessing security measures at a site. 

You should note that some of the questions refer to material on evaluation and control, which will be discussed in Steps Three, Four and Five. By the time you come to use the checklist, however, you will be familiar with the content of these various steps and will be able to apply the knowledge in your survey. 

CHECKLISTS - Root cause investigation methods often include a set of integrated and comprehensive checklists (or accompanying reference documents) to ensure that common generic causes and issues are considered. 

We have now encountered a number of different types of arrow routinely used in chemistry to convey particular meanings. We have met curly arrows used in mechanisms, double-headed resonance arrows, equilibrium arrows, and the simple single arrows used for reactions. This is a convenient point to bring together the different types and provide a checklist for future reference. We are also showing how additional information about a reaction may be presented with the arrow.

The main remit of this chapter is to provide reference and plant source details of new flavone and flavonol 0-glycosides discovered since 1991, i.e., covering the years 1992 to 2003. A checklist of all (as far as possible) known structures is also included in Appendices A and B. A series of reviews, which include most of the data on new 0-glycosylflavones and flavonols presented here, have appeared in Natural Product Reports and cover the years 1992 to 1994, 1995 to 1997, and 1998 to 2000, and with a fourth (2001 to 2003) " in press. Other useful sources of data are The Phytochemical Dictionary,The Handbook of Natural Flavo-noids, and for general background reading Jeffrey Harborne s Comparative Biochemistry of the Flavonoids. 

The following checklist of isoflavonoids contains compounds reported in the literature as natural products to the end of 2004. Compounds published before 1991 are referenced to numbered entries in Volume 2 of the Handbook of Natural Flavonoids (J.B. Harborne and H. Baxter), John Wiley Sons, Chichester, 1999, using a number consisting of four digits. Compounds published in the period 1991-2004 are referenced with numbers having F as prefix before the number of the publication found in the reference list. The various isoflavo-noid classes are shown in Figure Al. 

Refer to Section III for checklists and guidelines for revising a paper. Because research papers generally count as a major portion of a course s grade, you may choose to revise your research paper more than once. 

The most important factors for the entire process of equipment qualification and computer system validation in analytical laboratories are proper planning, execution of qualification according to the plan, and documentation of the results. The process should start with the definition of the analytical technique and the development of user requirement and functional specifications. For computer systems, a formal vendor assessment should be made. This can be done through checklists and vendor documentation with internal and/or external references. For very complex systems, it should go through a vendor audit. 

A more nearly complete list of potential hazards is in Table 1.5, and a checklist referring particularly to chemical reactions is in Table 1.6. 

Detailed safety checklists appear in books by Fawcett and Wood (Chap. 32, Bibliography 1.1, Part E) and Wells (pp. 239-257, Bibliography 1.1, Part E). These books and the large one by Lees (Bibliography 1.1, Part E) also provide entry into the vast literature of chemical process plant safety. Lees has particularly complete bibliographies. A standard reference on the properties of dangerous materials is the book by Sax (1984) (References, Section... 

Clearly identify data packages field records records of communication with the laboratory data evaluation checklists and summary reports and archive them together for future reference.
