Qualified product

In addition to steam and controlled-temperature water, a number of different heat transfer fluids for a wide range of temperatures from 100-700°F are supplied by (a) the Dow Chemical Co., (b) Monsanto Chemical Co., (c) Multitherm Corp., (d) Union Carbide Corp., (e) Exxon Chemical Co., (1) Mobil Chemical Co., (g) Calfo division of Petro Canada, and (h) others with qualified products. 

Qualified products list QPL is a list of commercial products that have been pretested and found to meet the requirements of a specification.

Qualified Products List (QPL). A list of products, qualified under the requirements stated in the applicable specification, including appropriate identification and reference data with the name and plant address of the manufacturer Ref Anon, OrdnTechTerm (1962), 241... 

This specification covers chemically expanded unicellular elastomeric plastic foam for thermal insulation. It is used as the inherently buoyant foam in MII I 18045F. Has a Qualified Products Ust (QPL). 

The class ContentDescription is introduced, which is connected with the Information via the relation hasContent. ContentDescription acts as an extension point, where a qualified product data model suitable for describing the content of a Information can be integrated into the Document Model. Integration is realized by declaring the classes of the product data model to be subclasses of ContentDescription. For example, by defining the root element of OntoCAPE (cf. Subsect. 2.2.4) as a subclass of ContentDescription, as it is indicated in Fig. 2.10, all classes defined in OntoCAPE can be employed to characterize the content of some Information. If the content of documents lies in another domain than that of computer-aided process engineering covered by OntoCAPE, OntoCAPE can be replaced by a more appropriate product data model. 

Note to point 1 For the transfer of a product from one plant to another qualified production plant, it is essential to revalidate the entire manufacturing process in the new plant. It is possible that several new critical or noncritical parameters must be determined. 

Mechanical testing is used to qualify products for conformance with specified properties by means of standard procedures, using standardized, representative product samples. The results are reported on a mill test report (MTR) and indicate whether the product meets mechanical test requirements of the specification test requirements. Mechanical property test reporting is part of the purchase order. Tensile, hardness, and impact are the most common mechanical property tests. 

In-process tests may be performed by qualified production department personnel and the process adjusted without prior quality control approval, provided adjustments are made within preestablished limits approved by the quality control unit. All in-process tests and results should be documented in the batch record. 

Batch production and control records for critical process steps should be reviewed and approved by the quality control unit before a batch is released or distributed. Where the quality control unit does not review noncriticai process steps, the review should be performed by qualified production personnel or other units following procedures approved by the quality control unit... 

MIDs create new demands on assembly because of their complex geometric shape. The new requirements on assembly processes caused by different MID types in order to develop qualified production systems for MID assembly must be considered (Figure 43). The new task of mounting SMDs onto 3D circuit boards calls for new capabilities in dispensing and mounting systems. Both processes work sequentially and are realized with Cartesian handling systems for PCB production. 

That means the electric clutch is unqualified and should be replaced by the qualified product. 

Qualification test—A series of tests conducted by the government procuring activity, or an agent thereof, to determine conformance of materials, or materials systems, to the requirements of a specification which normally results in a Qualified Products List (QPL) under the specification. Qualification under a specification generally requires conformance to all tests in the specification. It may, however, be limited to conformance to a specific type, or class, or both.
