Post processing

Several post-processing optimizations may be run to improve the final data path. Busser is a program used to choose busses and add them to the data path. Other optimizations create special purpose hardware such as increment/decrement registers and constant ROMs. [Pg.150]

A post-processing program called Busser is used to choose busses for the data paths chosen by EMUCS. Busses improve the design by making them easier to lay out. A good layout is made easier by a simple interconnection scheme. Large multiplexors are difficult to lay out [Pg.150]

Any multiplexor or bus whose inputs are exclusively constants may be transformed into a constant ROM. The transformation is a simple one. The designated multiplexor or bus and its input constants are removed from the design, and a ROM of the appropriate size is added in their place. The address port of the ROM is connected to the controller, and this port is activated whenever one of the constant values in the ROM is needed. [Pg.154]

The finish up phase is used to clean up the design and write out the data path and control schedule files. Clean up is a simple process of removing any unused ports and modules that were created during the allocation process. After the clean up has been accomplished, the data path and control schedule may be written out. [Pg.156]

For an effective control operation, the transducer with orthogonal coils has been coupled to a SFT 6000N control equipment, the results being sampled and quantized on 12 bits, stored and post-processed. [Pg.374]

In the evaluation post processing software the stored UT-data can be presented as A-,B- and C-scans. The C-scan can be presented with Top-, End- and Side views. [Pg.862]

Post-processing, e.g. machining (for dimensional restoration) or shot peening (remove residual stresses), can be an added source of variability. [Pg.51]

Of concern, however with any sludge management issue, are the costs for recovery of potentially valuable by-products as in the case of the cable plant and the costs associated with concentrating the sludge to a form that it can be handled in post processing operations. [Pg.499]

The first interactive electronic encyclopedia for users of plastics, materials selection is carried out using 3 search routines. The Chemical Resistance Search eliminates materials that cannot meet user specified chemical resistance requirements. The other search routines ( Elimination and Combined Weighting ) eliminate candidate materials based on 72 properties, falling within one of the following groups General and Electrical, Mechanical, Cost Factors, Production Methods and Post Processing. All data is evaluated and based on independent tests conducted in RAPRA s laboratories. [Pg.596]

The other problem-dependent boxes in Fig. 8 relate to reading input and writing output - tasks that are clearly application-specific. We view writing post processing files to be part of the output function. It is usually inefficient to force the code that computes the solution to perform simultaneously all the interpretive functions. Moreover, if the solution itself is saved, then any number of post-processing functions can be exercised without requiring the problem to be solved again. [Pg.348]

The subject of quality control and surveillance is discussed in a chapter on sterilization control and sterihty testing, whieh deals with aspects Of in-process and post-process control. [Pg.339]

The formation of phenyl esters from boronic acid and phenyhnagnesium bromide in THF is a fast liquid reaction involving contacting of two reactants, Rj (boronic acid) and R2 (phenyhnagnesium bromide), dissolved in the same solvent to yield a liquid mixture [48,108], This mixture is post-processed by a fast hydrolysis. This step was performed conventionally in a batch mode. [Pg.466]

The intermediates Ij and I3, however, precipitate in the course of the reaction [48, 108]. They are dissolved again by post-processing to the product Pj and the consecutive product Cj. [Pg.467]

Process recycle includes in-process and post-processing recycle. In general, in-process recycle is the preferred approach if at aU possible, but is clearly more common in the petrochemical and commodity chemicals context. For batch chemical operations commonly found in the fine chemical, pharmaceutical and agrochemicals businesses, in-process recycle is generally very difficult to do. The premise in those industries, however, is to reduce the scale of batch operations, make them continuous, and number up to achieve the required volumes. If this can be done successfully, it is more likely to be able to incorporate in-process recycle. [Pg.236]

Out-of-process or post-process recycle is commonly employed when possible and is used extensively on and off site. It maybe important to distinguish between the two options as each has a different set of issues. In general, off-site recycle is likely to have a greater number of potential impacts related to the transport and management of the solvent on and off the site. [Pg.236]

Once the standard error of estimate of the mean forecasted response has been estimated, i.e., the uncertainty in the total production rate, one can compute the probability level, a, for which the minimum total production rate is below some pre-determined value based on a previously conducted economic analysis. Such calculations can be performed as part of the post-processing calculations. [Pg.388]

Velocity maps of simple or complex liquids, emulsions, suspensions and other mixtures in various geometries provide valuable information about macroscopic and molecular properties of materials in motion. Two- and three-dimensional spin echo velocity imaging methods are used, where one or two dimensions contain spatial information and the remaining dimension or the image intensity contains the information of the displacement of the spins during an observation time. This information is used to calculate the velocity vectors and the dispersion at each position in the spatially resolved dimensions with the help of post-processing software. The range of observable velocities depends mainly on the time the spins... [Pg.59]
