Composites post processing

Figure 12 is a composite diagram showing the evolution of the calculated free energy of hydration of our HT materials over a wide range of pH. The curves obtained for all samples originating from the same family of HT treatment facilities (in-line processes for MSW wastes post-processes for BA post-processes for FA) have been grouped, for simplicity, into individual domains of stabilities (shaded areas). 

Indeed, for a number of years, it was widely believed that branded biopharmaceuticals were unhkely ever to be threatened by lower-priced, post-patent expiry versions of the products because they are too sensitive and sophisticated to copy safely (see also Part Vll, Chapter 4). The intellectual property is complicated, and could be protected by an extensive array of composition and process-related patents that would extend patent lifetimes practically indefinitely. Moreover, it was widely understood that biopharmaceutical product safety and potency profiles are often exquisitely sensitive to the parameters of the production and purification processes used, and small fluctuations in process specs can result in substantially different biologic activity and immunogenicity. To produce a close copy of such a product, near-exact replication of the innovator company s process may be required. However, biopharmaceutical companies have often chosen to exclude the details in patent filings, preferring to maintain exact process specifications as closely guarded... 

The aim of this paper is to present the different properties of polysaccharide composites obtained by the introduction of cellulose fibres, varying in length and content, into plasticized wheat starch. We have used LDPE-based composites as reference, because without compatibilizer, the LDPE-fibres interactions are usually considered as very poor. To highlight the interactions developed between cellulose and starch, we have compared both kinds of composites. Finally, we have evaluated the post-processing ageing of TPS compared to some other systems. 

When the blends are immiscible in the molten state, the crystallinity is even more complex function of the ingredients properties, com-patibilization method, processing parameters, and post-processing treatments. The following factors have been identified to play major role (i) molecular constitution and M of the components (ii) composition, (iii) the type of phase morphology and the degree of dispersion (iv) the interphase, thus interactions between the phases, nature of the interface, migration of nuclei from one phase to the other, etc. (v) melt history, in...

Bico technology can also be used to form composite fibers that can be broken apart, by using pol5miers with poor mutual adhesion (eg, polyolefin and PET). A fiber made with a dozen or more segments, alternating between two polymer types, can be post-processed to form separated fibrils of the two different materials. The shapes of the fibrils can affect the aesthetics of the fabrics, for example, sharp edges on the fibrils confer crispness and the soimd of silk to fabrics.
