Module testing

Japan The Kansai Electric Company has tested a four-cell article and accumulated 10,529 hours of operation at high current densities and completed 101 thermal cycles. Tokyo Gas started research and development of a planner SOFC in 1993. They conducted a 1.7 kW module test with stable performance. [Pg.340]

Data of WRPC. The Water Reuse Promotion Center(WRPC) in JAPAN has been engaged in development of sea water desalination by reverse osmosis since 197. At IDEA meeting at Mexico city 1976,the first redults were reported with two types of modules, du Dont hollow fine fiber module B-10 and UOP s cellulose triacetate ultrathin spiral wound module, tested at their laboratory at Chigasaki beach. Then the WRPC has adopted two types of modules made in Japan, Toray new type of spiral wound module made from cellulose acetate and Toyobo s cellulose triacetate hollow fine fiber module. [Pg.116]

Toray s data are plotted as the reciprocal of membrane constants against time elasped like Fig. U. The first generation of Toray module tested at the laboratory might have some defect In the membrane backing material. After 6000 hours in operation, they exchanged half of the modules for the second generation chlorine resistant. The second had been improved about twice in its resistance against flux decline. [Pg.116]

The same type of plot for Toyobo s hollow fine fiber is shown in Fig.5. As far as the half time concerns when the flux reduces to half of its initial value,Toyobo s hollow fine fiber mosule is the best "among the modules tested at the laboratory as shown on the Table 2. [Pg.116]

If a system comprises several modules, it is recommended that system tests be performed for parameters that are affected by multiple modules (holistic testing) rather than performing tests module by module (modular testing). Individual module tests should be performed if the parameter is affected by that module only (e.g., the wavelength accuracy of an HPLC variable-wavelength detector or the temperature accuracy of a column compartment). [Pg.261]

The structure of the software module design specification should be similar to that of the software design specification to facilitate checking between the two documents. Once the software module design specification is produced and approved it is possible to generate a software module test specification. [Pg.600]

The difference between a DCS, where the HMI is usually an integral part of the system, and a PLC, which usually contains a controller and an HMI, is that separate software and hardware design specifications exist, and there will be separate build and Module Testing. Additionally, Integration Tests must take place to ensure that the individual systems communicate and interact in the correct manner. Any assessment of the potential hazards of such a system, such as a Computer HAZard and OPerabiUty (CHAZOP) smdy, should cover the total system. [Pg.590]

Module tests are conducted against the software module design specifications in order to verify the discrete fnnctionality of the module and simulate the input and output interfaces of the module. Module testing often requires the development of test harnesses simulation software specifically written to snpply inputs to the module and interpret the returned result. The test harnesses themselves fnrther pose a risk to GxP compliance as they must be appropriately developed and controlled. [Pg.721]

Figure 5 shows friction factors for different parallel-passage reactor modules tested by Calis et al. [7]. Particulars on the geometry of these modules are given in Table 1. [Pg.327]

The values of the ratio of the power eonsumed to the power removed obtained from the cooling module tests are substantially higher than those shown for the orifiee plates. There are several reasons for this. Because some of the jets did not impinge on the diode sinee the area eovered by the jet array was larger than that of the diode, part of the water did not remove any heat, while still being pumped. [Pg.251]

Validation of instrument hardware includes testing according to documented specifications. If HPLC instruments consist of several modules, individual modules (modular validation), as well as the entire system (holistic validation), should be validated. However, the latter is preferred, as individual module tests should be performed as part of the diagnosis if the system fails. [Pg.1690]

Langer et al. [63] used a training set of propafenone-type MDR modulators tested with a daunorubicin competition assay and developed a pharmacophore for P-gp inhibition using Catalyst software. The pharmacophore features identified by this model were one hydrogen-bond acceptor, one hydrophobic area, two aromatic centers, and (iv) one positively ionizable group. [Pg.510]

Where the OCS has a standard interface to a particular Fieldbus and the number of installations is such that this can be deemed as standard feature, there is little need for software module testing. This is true of any Fieldbus interface to any control system. In a traditional scenario, where data need to be transferred via the OCS to a maintenance application or a laboratory analysis package, the actual transfer of the data needs to be fully tested as a bespoke application. [Pg.180]
