Output interface

Input and output interface This is the interface between the controlling devices and the processor. The input/output (I/O) unit receives signals from the input devices and transmits output action signals to the controlling devices.

Module tests are conducted against the software module design specifications in order to verify the discrete fnnctionality of the module and simulate the input and output interfaces of the module. The test harnesses themselves fnrther pose a risk to GxP compliance as they must be appropriately developed and controlled. 

Integration with desired data sources, programs, and output interfaces should be readily accommodated. Establish reasonable goals for satisfactory performance in terms of speed and memory use. Migration to a suitable delivery vehicle should be easy and inexpensive. 

The software component interacts through three external interfaces one for accessing input data ( input interface), another for producing output data ( output interface), and the last ( control interface) for accepting environmental variables and characteristics to adjust the internal behavior of the software component accordingly with the runtime parameters. With this innovation, the launched software is able to discover the runtime environment and dynamically adapt to the target environment.

The control commands produced by the control program are in digital form, but most of the final control elements, pneumatic valves in particular, are actuated by analog signals (e.g., compressed air). To erase this incompatibility, the output interface should include a digital-to-analog converter (DAC or D/A converter).
