Certification requirements

The two liter carbon canister does not exhibit the HC release during the run loss portion of the test, nor does it release more than the allowable level of HC during the three day diumals. Thus, for the given vehicle configuration and the level of purge volume obtained by the vehicle, it is clear that a two liter carbon canister is required for this vehicle to pass the EPA certification requirement. This conclusion has an effect on the cost of the evaporative control system, in that the additional activated carbon volume and canister size will have an added cost, as will any additional hardware required to mount the larger canister on the vehicle.

This clause does not require suppliers to establish procedures for identifying personnel certification requirements. While unnecessary in most situations, personnel certification is necessary for special processes (see Part 2 Chapter 9 under Special processes). Certification would also be necessary for teachers, lecturers, and other personnel upon whose judgement the determination of quality depends. 

A logical first item is overall planning and development of the framework for the RM project. It includes consideration of end-use requirements of the material and provision for scientific and technical management and execution of the project by trained, dedicated, critical scientists and technologists. End-use requirement dictates an assessment of the nature of the problem to be addressed by the product, the market requirements, the analytical methods to be served, the measurands, forms and concentrations to be certified, the level of certification required, and the quantities of starting and final product needed, leading to overall definition of the undertaking. 

For example trace elements in milk powder are not consumed as milk, and moisture in transformer oil is not used in transformers, yet matrix reference materials based on milk are imported as food and are subject to health certification requirements and sometimes import quotas. Likewise a matrix based on oil is identified as fuel or lubricating oil and is both classified as a hazardous material and subject to mineral oil tax. These problems arise because RMs are frequently incorrectly classified by specific title of their matrix (as Reference Material of Trace Elements in Rice is classified as rice) and not as reference material which is the intended use. 

Any length of SPMD with an A V ratio of about 460 cm mL of >95% triolein, having an approximate 0.25 lipid-to-membrane-mass ratio (i.e., 20% lipid) and a 70-95 pm wall thickness is considered a standard SPMD. However, the aforementioned QC certification requirements for the membrane and triolein must be met. Because most SPMD calibration data and field data are based on the standard configuration, the use of non-standard designs for monitoring must be weighed against the lack of data comparability.

Personnel certification the laboratory is responsible tortultilling specified personnel certification requirements. 

Companies must prepare detailed briefing material for medical representatives on the technical aspects of each medicine which they will promote. A copy of such material must be made available to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency and the Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority on request. Briefing material must comply with the relevant requirements of the Code and, in particular, is subject to the certification requirements of Clause 14. 

The certification requirements of Clause 14 of the Code which are covered above apply also to briefing material prepared for representatives in accordance with Clause 15.9. Briefing material includes the training material used to instruct medical representatives about a medicine and the instructions given to them as to how the product should be promoted. 

Electrical safety. Most common commercial instruments have been certified for electrical safety by an organization such as UL (Underwriters Laboratory), CE, or CSA (Canadian Standards Association). However, certain less common instruments or custom-built instruments may have to go through a certification process at the time of installation. Certification required for electrical safety may take time to complete. A protective shield or casing may be required for automated systems with robotic arms for sample manipulation, to protect operators. 

Exempt colors do not have to undergo formal FDA certification requirements, hut are monitored for purity. The colorants exempt from FD C certification are annatto extract, /i-carolene, beet powder, 0-apo—8 -carntenol. canlhaxanthin. caramel, carmine, carrot oil. cochineal extract, cottonseed Hour, ferrous gluconate, fruit juices, grape skin extract, paprika, paprika oleoresin. riboflavin, saffron, titanium dioxide, turmeric, turmeric oleoresin. ultramarine blue, and vegetable juices. Failure to include the required certifications in submissions can result in an application being refused for filing. In addition, NDAs and BLAs require the submission of auser fee form 3397 indicating that the fee has been submitted in the amount as required. Table 1 provides a matrix of the certifications required for drug, biologic, and medical device applications.

In her work on Lithuanian dairy practices, Diana Mincyte has made a similar observation about the continuing demand for raw milk and farm-fresh milk and suspicions, or at least dislike, of dairy products from commercial farms and sold in shops. The introduction of EU certification requirements, which in principle seek to do away with raw milk, is especially problematic. See Mincyte 2009.

Geographically variable plasmodial drug resistance has become a major factor in malaria. The World Health Organization gives advice in its annually revised booklet. Vaccination Certificate Requirements and Health Advice for International Travel and national bodies publish advice (e.g. British National Formulary) that applies particularly to their own residents. These or other appropriate sources ought to be consulted before specific advice is given. 

IN GENERAL—The Secretary may grant a waiver of the certification requirement of subsection (c) with respect to a noncertified poison control center or a newly established center that applies for a grant under this section if such center can reasonably demonstrate that the center will obtain such a certification within a reasonable period of time as determined appropriate by the Secretary. 

To resolve these problems. Congress did include an extensive research program in HSWA to augment the certification requirement, but left the responsibility of truthfulness with the industrial producers of hazardous waste. There does remain the basic requirement to truthfully report program activities by hazardous waste generators.
