Technical management

In compliance with the requirements stated in the System of accreditation to the practical experience and qualification the technical manager in NDT must have at least level 2 on each of NDT methods used in the laboratory seeking accreditation, where not more than 3 NDT methods are in practice, and level 3 on the basic method used in the laboratory where there are more than 3 methods. Moreover all specialists must be certified in relevant NDT method and industrial sector. 

If GOST doesn t cover conerete requirements for the regime of testing, the procedure may be adopted as standard procedure and in this case the technological instruction with relevant missing aspects has to be developed on the basis of this GOST. This standard procedure must be approved by technical manager of the firm.

Many maintenance risks are related to unclear and unsafe procedures. See Chapter 6. Additional information regarding management of change can be found in Chapter 7 of the CCPS Guidelines for Technical Management of Chemical Process Safety (CCPS, 1989b). 

In 1989, CCPS published the Guidelines for Technical Management of Ghemical Process Safety, which presented a model for Process Safety Management characterized by twelve distinct, essential, and interrelated elements. The Foreword to that book stated ... 

For the first time, all the essential elements and components of a model of a technical management program in chemical process safety have been assembled in one document. We believe the Guidelines provide the umbrella under which all other CCPS Technical Guidelines will be promulgated. 

The first document produced under the CCPS program was a brochure entitled "A Challenge to Commitment," which was mailed to the CEOs of more than 1500 companies. It provides an overview and an outline of a comprehensive model for the technical management of chemical process safety, characterized by twelve distinct and essential elements.
