In the sections above we explained the stochastic theory behind BayAPS PP and the main influencing parameters. Real life projects always involve additional complications and additional essential constraints have to be met. Without going into the details of the solution, we roughly describe a project example to give the reader a flavor of such additional requirements.

Worldwide resource life projections of this kind show a similar trend from a value of 29.7 years in 1970, 25.2 years in 1978, and leveling off at 42.5 and 38.8 years in 1992 and 2000. Large-scale consumers like the U.S., Canada, and the European Union, and more recently China have consumptions that are large fractions of their reserves, which has depressed the world petroleum life projections. Conventional petroleum production rates for Canada peaked in 1973, and for the U.S. in 1970 (Fig. 17.4). 

As a follow-up to the RTD or LIFE projects, useful interactions may occur at the occasion of yearly meetings. Participation of policy officers in all project meetings may not be practicable due to a lack of resources but efforts are needed to organise regular joint meetings focusing on specific themes. This is already happening in the WFD sector (Quevauviller et al., 2005) and should be systematised.

Results also show that simnlation exercises may have an impact on real-life projects. For example, dividing the stndent groups into teams of different subcontractors or trades working together to constract a building helps the students better understand the role of teamwork, collaboration on constmction projects, and the impact of variability in production planning and control. 

Computing is now mobile, being performed in all environments, situations, and contexts. Data services, including web browsing, email, and text messaging, are common on mobile phones and other personal devices. The Pew I nternet and American Life Project, a project of the Pew Research Center, reports that of all smartphone owners, 25% say they go online mostly using their smartphones rather than their computers (Smith 2011).

In the framework of the EU Life project Empereur, two full-scale emulsion pertraction installations have been built and are demonstrated at the site of the galvanic firms Loko Gramsbergen and Galvano Techniek Veenendaal (GTV), both in the Netherlands. In this technique, however, the dispersion of one liquid phase in another is not created via a membrane but rather externally in a mixer/dispersion device. This technique has also been identified as a supported liquid membrane with a strip dispersion and has been employed in a large-scale installation (Figure 4.12). These percentages are a product of the EHS Nation s age curve. In 2010, the Pew Internet American Life Project, a project of the Pew Research Center, found the average age of an adult social media user was 38 years old. Only 20% of those age 50-65 used social media.

An interesting result of the research carried out was that, although both women and men give higher value to science and technical studies than to the humanities, males seem to see social status as a powerful value, whereas for females, other types of values related to gender issues are more important -such as family values or life project- and they do not give so much importance to work expectations.
