Internal format

Rapp (1961) has confirmed this equation in a study of the oxidation in air of Ag-In alloys at 550°C. The reaction proceeds with tire internal formation of In203 particles over a range of indium concenuations, but at a critical mole fraction of indium in the alloy, external oxidation occurs with the growdr of a layer of In203 covering the alloy. The n airsitioir from internal to external oxidation was found by Rapp to occur at the mole fraction of indium cone-sponding to... [Pg.258]

The TMS320C30 [Papamichalis and Simar, 1988] follows the basic architecture of the TMS-320 series. Unlike the DSP-32, it uses pipeline interlocks. Like the DSP-32, it features its own internal format for floating point numbers. Because of the four stage pipeline organization, it can perform a number of operations in parallel. It also features a delayed branch - something of a novelty in DSP processors. The TMS320C40 [Simar et al., 1992] has six parallel bidirectional I/O ports controlled by DMA on top of the basic TMS-320C30 architecture. These ports have been used for multiprocessor communication. [Pg.412]

Motorola introduced the 96002 [Sohie and Kloker, 1988] as an extension to the existing 56000 architecture. The instruction set is an extension of the 56000 instructions, adding floating point instructions and implementing the IEEE 754 floating point standard directly instead of converting to an internal format (like the DSP-32). It has two parallel ports for multiprocessing. [Pg.412]

In case of local gastrointestinal treatments nucleic acid drugs shall be taken up by enterocytes, usually through endocytosis. The route of uptake determines, subsequently, nucleic acid trafficking and lifetime in the cell. Endocytosis is a multistep process involving binding, internalization, formation of endosomes, fusion with lysosomes, and lysis. The low pH and enzymes within... [Pg.225]

The final aspect of the data entry system is its ability to make the data entered available in a format that can be analyzed. As the data entry system probably has no facilities for analysis in and of itself, the data must be exported to a system that can do the work. Some standard exports are to SAS datasets, SQL databases, and plain text, which is usually a common denominator among applications software. The data are then used in that format or converted to an internal format for analysis. [Pg.432]

The functionality required for an ELN to handle these structures is a specialized structure editor allowing creation and visualization of residues, definition of residues as real structures, and combined search for substructures in both the compound and the residue. Some additional features in the structure viewer help to mark and emphasize residues of the structure, allow overlapping residues, and label residues. A flag indicates whether the residues are displayed in the current context or not. If more than one residue is available, it is possible then to show or hide individual residues of a structure. The structure editor may be independent of a primary editor that is able to handle complete structures that is, structures are created with an external standard editor, whereas residue definitions are performed with an embedded tool. Since most databases are not designed for storing incomplete information, an ELN has to provide an internal format to store incomplete structures. In fact, it stores every complete part of a structure in a conventional database and keeps the additional information about the missing parts. [Pg.312]

The objects defined in the level above the Knowledge Base exist to perform the problem solving process. Amongst them is an object which co-ordinates the systematic search for a solution which possesses several heuristic methods and an object to evaluate equations arithmetically. There is also an object to intelligently translate equations and quantities from the symbolic format an engineer or scientist employs into the internal format used by QPS. [Pg.324]

For consistency and ease of access the style of the telephone numbers given in the CERs analysed has been altered where necessary to international format. [Pg.118]

Isoflavonoids are a characteristic and very important subclass of flavonoids. Their structures are based on the 3-phenylchromen skeleton that is chemically derived from the 2-phenylchromen skeleton, by an aryl-migration mechanism. Structurally, isoflavonoids can be classified according to the oxidation of the C15 skeleton, their complexity and the internal formation of heterocyclic rings [6],... [Pg.1178]

Eylander (16) modified Barkman and Davidson s (2) equation for internal formation plugging and introduced the filter cake porosity parameter (0.2). His equation is based on internal filter cake formation that grows towards the wellbore. [Pg.312]

Loss of adhesion may be caused by permeation problems. However, Internal formation of volatile species (outgasslng) and primary bond failure can also contribute to loss of adhesion. All polymers are Inherently permeable, but to widely varying degrees. Oxygen, moisture, air pollutants, etc., can penetrate polymer films and attack underlying reflector metallzatlon, conductors, or other functional elements. Furthermore, these gases... [Pg.13]

There are a number of design principles that facilitate the use of CRFs in clinical trials. These principles include the concepts of standardization and minimization. The sponsor standardizes the design of CRFs in one consistent international format. This permits uniform databases, consistency in collection and more rapid data entry. In addition, standardization facilitates the monitoring process and therefore increases accuracy of the data. While efficiency is an important variable in the design process, the systems must also be sufficiently flexible to account for the variances between projects. Finally, an important principle of both protocol and CRF design is to collect only the data needed to satisfy the objectives of the protocol. The inherent temptation to collect more data must be resisted. [Pg.24]

One commonly used space-saving technique was compression. As each line of a BASIC program was typed in, it was checked for correctness and then converted to a more concise internal format. For instance, the statement ... [Pg.9]

The system architect considers the lecturer s effort and designs a complementary tool that allows the lecturer to dynamically handle the educational content. Two types of educational content are stored into the E-Learning platform public and private content. If the tutor considers one of his/her materials as really important for the public interest, that material will be uploaded on the server, convert to an internal format (slideshow, e.g.) and stored into the media library as a public material. If the material is private or the tutor has no rights... [Pg.222]

In the concentration wave (CW) theory [760] the distribution of atoms A in a binary A-B alloy is described by a single occupancy probability function n r). This is the probability to hnd the atom A (La) at the site r of the crystalline lattice. The conhgurational part of the free energy of solid-solution formation (per atom) includes the internal formation energy AU, the function n r), a concentration of particles La(A), the effective interatomic potentials between La atoms (A) and Sr atoms (B), for details see [754]. [Pg.455]

ODB++ and IPC-2581 are examples of formats that were explicitly designed for the purpose of CAD to CAM data exchange. ODB++ is the internal format for Valor s tools and was developed early as an exchange format. IPC-2581 is a vendor-independent format developed as a joint effort by Valor and an IPC-sponsored committee to correct the historical problems associated with data exchange. [Pg.392]

This format contains information not available in the earlier formats (including details about personnel and the enterprise, material requirements, and component tuning and programming). Most industry tools lack these items in their internal formats, so at this point these sections are usable primarily in human-readable form. [Pg.395]

Although food and tobacco products are important sources of external exposure to N-nitrosamines, exposure also occurs from nitrosamines produced internally in the digestive tract. About 5% of ingested nitrates are reduced to nitrites in sahva. These nitrites can subsequently react with secondary and tertiary amines, as well as N-substituted amides, carbamates and other related compounds, to form N-nitroso compounds within the gastrointestinal tract. This internal formation is a major source of human exposure to N-nitrosamines. [Pg.949]

At the beginning of each sub sequential run, the sampler provides the new values of the variables to be modified. The code API places those values properly in the input file. At this point the code API generates the run command and asks to be queued by the job handler. The job handler manages the parallel execution of as many runs as possible within a user prescribed range and communicates with the step controller when a new set of output files are ready to be processed. The code API receives the new input files and collects the data in the RAVEN internal format. The sampler is queried to assess if the sequence of runs is ended, if not, the step controller asks for a... [Pg.764]

The only way to collect such data economically is to transfer them directly from the spectrometer to the database. Since the instrument manufacturers use their own internal formats such a procedure would require a whole variety of converters to change the spectrometer formats into the database format. [Pg.2633]
