Coercivity of Thin-Film Media. The coercivity ia a magnetic material is an important parameter for appHcations but it is difficult to understand its physical background. It can be varied from nearly zero to more than 2000 kA/m ia a variety of materials. For thin-film recording media, values of more than 250 kA / m have been reported. First of all the coercivity is an extrinsic parameter and is strongly iafluenced by the microstmctural properties of the layer such as crystal size and shape, composition, and texture. These properties are directly related to the preparation conditions. Material choice and chemical inborn ogeneties are responsible for the Af of a material and this is also an influencing parameter of the final In crystalline material, the crystalline anisotropy field plays an important role. It is difficult to discriminate between all these parameters and to understand the coercivity origin ia the different thin-film materials ia detail.

The properties of wood-based panels are determined in principle by three influence parameters (1) wood component (2) adhesive (3) production conditions. Only if all three parameters are appropriately considered, can proper bonding results can achieved. 

Influence parameters are especially the press temperature and the moisture content in the mat. Additional parameters are the wood density, the porosity, the swelling and shrinking behavior of the wood, the structure at the surface and the wetting behavior. During the press cycle several mechanisms are in operation ...

In the sections above we explained the stochastic theory behind BayAPS PP and the main influencing parameters. Real life projects always involve additional complications and additional essential constraints have to be met. Without going into the details of the solution, we roughly describe a project example to give the reader a flavor of such additional requirements. 

Eq. 9.11 and differ in the proportionality constant. For details, the reader is referred to references 3 and 4. For drop size calculations, the empirical equations given in Ref. [1, chapter 17] that take into account all the influencing parameters are preferable. 

First, all physical parameters necessary to describe the problem are listed. For ozonation in a bubble column, with or without hydrogen peroxide addition, they developed a computer program to predict the removal of micropollutants. The main influencing parameters, i. e. pH, TOC, U V absorbance at 254 nm (SAC254), inorganic carbon, alkalinity and concentration of the micropollutant M are taken into consideration. 

Determine Procedure The basic reactions are the same as in drinking water and waste water treatment. Therefore, knowledge about necessary equipment (Chapter B 2), ozone mass transfer (Chapter B 3) and reaction kinetics (Chapter B 4) including influencing parameters are very helpful for the development of new cleaning methods or recipes. 

At present, the development of adequate monitoring strategies is one of the focal points. Because of the complex nature of pollutants and influencing parameters the link between pollutant concentrations detected and the risk potential on objects is not yet known and fully understood. Therefore, easily applicable directives as basic principles of preventive conservation are in the foreground (avoid-block-detect-respond-recover/treat) (Tetreault, 2003 Grzywacz,... 

In some cases, e.g. in the flotation process, Example 7, it is possible to replace a great many influencing parameters by only one or two intermediate quantities. Then, it is legitimate to speak of intermediate quantities as of lumped parameters . 

Despite the importance, fundamental understanding of precipitation processes remains fragmentary, and the control of product properties is limited, which is due to restricted experimental access to the key steps of solid formation and to the multitude of influencing parameters. Supercritical or high pressure carbon dioxide can induce polymer crystallization and plasticize polymers. The systematic study on the interaction of carbon dioxide with twenty different crystalline and amorphous polymers has been performed and various influencing parameters have been determined. Through the examination, analysis and comparison of the yield strength, ultimate elongation and modulus both before and after treatments in supercritical carbon dioxide at 3000 psi and 70°C, it was found that two main factors, i.e., degree of crystallinity and the presence of a polar side chain group, e g., ester.
