Ventilation stress

If the problem is one of inability to move air through the pile due to obstmctions or dirt, more drastic measures may be required, such as early marketing of the potatoes or movement to a different storage building. If ventilation stress is the culprit, an increase in air supply will result in an immediate response to corrective action, but the return to acceptable sugar levels may be slow. 

Exposure to risk factors for the development of contact dermatitis may vary widely depending on the kind of job and, even more, on the type of metal industry. A multiplicity of exogenous factors and variability in individual behavior make the estimation of dermal exposure at work very difficult [7]. The average noise level was about 40 dB(A) at two of the workplaces, while it was about 35 dB(A) at two others. It emerged from rhe narrow-band analyses that the sound pressure levels of rhe infrasound were not in any event of an order that this type of sound frequencies (below 20 Hz) could contribute to any disturbance effects. Another application of nutmeg essential oils is in aromatherapy, which is gaining importance these days. The main constituents of nutmeg and mace - myristicin, elemicin and isoelemicin - when presented in aroma form, act as stress relievers. In Japan, many companies diffuse such aromas through air ventilation systems to improve the work environment, as well as the quality of the air.

The use of pesticides in such areas increases the risk of inhalation exposure and may require the use of a respiratory protection device even if the identical application outdoors would not warrant such protection. The likelihood of increased potential for heat stress due to the enclosure is dependent on the effectiveness of the ventilation system.
