The links between levels of exposure and inconvenience caused by ventilation noise are described in an investigation carried out on office workers.- Technical measurements and analyses of the ventilation noise at 155 typical office workplaces were in this study combined with assessments by the office workers of the level of disturbance that they experienced, the effect on working performance, fatigue, stress-related pain, and headaches. The average noise level was about 40 dB(A) at two of the workplaces, while it was about 35 dB(A) at two others. It emerged from rhe narrow-band analyses that the sound pressure levels of rhe infrasound were not in any event of an order that this type of sound frequencies (below 20 Hz) could contribute to any disturbance effects. WE SPOKE WITH SUZANNE at her home in 2001. A resident of a small Midwestern subdevelopment, she told us about her problems with lawn care, especially chemicals, and how she and her family have reconciled themselves to their use, despite disturbing effects. 

Treatment of separately collected and reconcentrated baths that initially contain dyestuff concentrations of approximately 1 g/L and are reconcentrated to approximately 10-20 g/L dyestuff by membrane filtration. Such techniques yield considerable amounts of recyclable water, but care has to be taken to avoid any disturbing effect during reuse caused by salt and alkali content in the regenerate. The concentrated dyestuff solution can be treated with similar methods as concentrated dye solutions from fillings of padder.

In a study of the long-term acceptability of Mirena, 165 women were examined during and after 6 and 36 months of use. There were changes in menstrual bleeding pattern in 161 women (98%), with cessation or transient absence of menstruation in 75 (47%) and 14 (9%) women respectively.
