Occurrence of a change can affect safety performance of a system. In order to prevent them, risks analyses are conducted. In some industiy like train transportation, studies is mandated by a regulation, in other industries studies are voluntary done.

Pipeline transport of CO2 is practiced. Large-scale ship or train transport systems are not developed for CO2. 

AH Department of Transportation (DOT), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) rules and regulations should be reviewed prior to handling hydrochloric acid and all the regulations must be followed. Coal pipelines have been built in countries such as France (8.8 km), and Russia (61 km), and pipelines are also used for transporting limestone, copper concentrates, magnetite, and gHsonite in other parts of the world. The first coal pipeline, built in Ohio, led to freight rate reductions. The pipeline stopped operation after introduction of the unit train, used exclusively to transport coal from the mine to an electric power generation station.
