Specific Training

OSHA allows employers to train on each individual hazardous chemical or to train on a general chemical hazard group, such as corrosives or flammables. 

So if your employer has a lot of one type of hazardous chemical, you may be trained on the hazards of that group of chemicals, rather than receiving training on each individual 

Training by hazard group is usually the method preferred by companies whose employees work with so many chemicals that it is nearly impossible to train them in each specific one.
