Technical benefits are also obtained more readily from a computer system in that if sound identification of assets is established through their asset number, codes etc., similar assets can be examined in the event of a failure of any similar asset, and spares can be held in stock to cover the range of assets for which they are required, rather than for each individual asset. In preparing the asset register and respective work tasks, these can also be more easily duplicated with respect to similar assets than is possible with a manual system. 

Combinations of polymers are widely used as overlays in phosphate or chelant programs, or as the primary ingredients in all-polymer and mixed-organic/inorganic multifunctional program product ranges. These combinations may offer new or additional technical benefits and are marketed as such.

In more recent times, the n-concept has been extended to applications in the field of process control. Polymer-stabilised MNP can be obtained using different methods. In the ex situ preparation, NP are dispersed after their preparation in a solid or liqnid environment by applying different mechano-chemical methods. The problem with these approaches is that stabilisation is restricted by the risk of reaggregation of the MNP over time. On the other hand, using in situ preparation, MNP are developed directly in the stabiliser environment, resulting in a material that can be directly applied for a desired application consequently, in situ methods are the focus of considerable attention due to their technical benefits.
