Tech-pack

A technical package consists of all the specifications for each style being considered for adoption. However the specifications can be organized so that, there should be sufficient information in a tech-pack for the supply-chain partners to follow in producing the product. The next section discusses specifications in the form of a sample tech-pack developed by senior PD class students instructed by the author at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. [Pg.35]

These are specifications related to the aesthetic appeal of the apparel product, such as fashion details, style details, and characteristics related to the product concept. Some style information can be transferred from the line sheet. This information can be shown on a style summary of a tech-pack, as shown in Figure 2.3. In addition to the general style information, the front and back flats (technical drawing) and special instructions (such as a graphic placement, label placement, a reinforcement tape placement inside the garment, etc.) are included in the style summary sheet. (Technical facts provided by Ms. Alejandra Parise, adjunct faculty at CPP (Cal Poly Pomona).)... [Pg.35]

An example of a fit specification page of the tech-pack, as shown in Figure 2.6, provides standard graded measurements for aU the sizes (also called the size chart). This also includes the point of measurements (POM) indicating how to measure each finished garment measurement accurately. A tolerance is provided for each measurement, allowing production flexibility and fit quality control during production. [Pg.35]

An example of a garment assembly page of a tech-pack is shown in Figure 2.7. This page includes the sequence of assembly operations along with the stitch count (stitches per inch), seam and stitch notations, machine type for each operation, and any special instmctions assisting the apparel production. The component sketch area shows the components that are available for assembly. [Pg.35]

General information related to the style—such as the allocated style number, style description, product division, fabric type, fabric group, season, base size, size range, country of origin, status of the style, etc.—are available in most worksheets of the tech-pack and may be automatically updated when once entered. [Pg.41]

The wet pan is used for developing plasticity or molding qualities in ceramic reed materials. The abrasive and kneading actions of the mullers blend finer particles with the coarser particles as they are crushed (Greaves-Walker, Am. Refract. Jnst. Tech. Bull. 64, 1937), and this is necessary so that a high packing density can be achieved to result in strength. [Pg.1849]

Reaction in a Centrifugal Pump In the reaction between acetic acid and gaseous ketene to make acetic anhydride, the pressure must be kept low (0.2 atm) to prevent polymerization of ketene. A packed tower with low pressure drop could be used but the required volume is very large because of the low pressure. Spes (Chem. Ing. Tech., 38, 963-966 [1966]) selected a centrifugal pump reactor where... [Pg.2116]

The Tokyo Tech group assigned a C2 structure for the layers in the B2 phase, and ferroelectric packing of such layers to form a locally polar C2v macroscopic structure, as indicated in Figure 8.20. Other early workers in the field also adopted this structural model for the B2 phase. Brand et al. had discussed a C2 smectic chevron structure in their 1992 theoretical study,29 and while they seem to be referring to an all-anticlinic bilayer smectic, their actual graphic is basically identical to that shown in Figure 8.20. Furthermore,... [Pg.489]

Huber et al. (loc. cit.) and Yuan and Spiegel [Chem. Ing. Tech. 54, 774 (1982)] added lateral mixing to the model. Lateral deflection of liquid by the packing particles tends to homogenize the liquid, thus counteracting the channeling and pinching effect. [Pg.69]
