Never discontinue use of this drug except on the advice of the primary care provider. These drug control but do not cure hypertension. Skipping doses of the drug or voluntarily discontinuing the drug may cause severe, rebound hypertension. 

In Cyprus, drug regulation is also organized under the Pharmaceutical Services Division. The Drug Council serves as the central committee, with the Drug Control of Quality and Supply Sector (DCQSS) under the Pharmaceutical Services Division as its Secretariat. Drug Council members are drawn from both the public and private sectors, and are appointed by the Ministerial Council.

Figure 4 shows the functional units of the Center of Veterinary Medicine. Many pharmacy practitioners are also involved in the drugs controlled by this unit of FDA and may have occasion to communicate with it.

Currently, drug trafficking is a 400-billion-per-year industry in our country and represents 8% of the world s trade. The Bureau of Justice Statistics (1999) indicates that between 60% and 83 % of the nation s correctional population have used drugs at some point in their lives, roughly twice as many as others in the U.S. population.
