Reinforcing tape

There are, of course, many more aspects of composite hardware design that differ from metallic bonded structure but do not necessarily involve adhesive bonding. For instance there are many types of reinforcement tape and fabric to choose from, the orientation of the plies must be chosen, the ply stackups must be balanced to avoid part warping after cure, a minimum number of plies must be used to prevent non-visible impact damage that significantly affects the load carrying capability of the part, etc. 

These are specifications related to the aesthetic appeal of the apparel product, such as fashion details, style details, and characteristics related to the product concept. Some style information can be transferred from the line sheet. This information can be shown on a style summary of a tech-pack, as shown in Figure 2.3. In addition to the general style information, the front and back flats (technical drawing) and special instructions (such as a graphic placement, label placement, a reinforcement tape placement inside the garment, etc.) are included in the style summary sheet. Reinforcing tape The reinforcing tape fits the tape well without breaking and coming off.

Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), DMA and TG were used by Tabaddor and co-workersl l to investigate the cure kinetics and the development of mechanical properties of a commercial thermoplastic/ thermoset adhesive, which is part of a reinforced tape system for industrial applications. From the results, the authors concluded that thermal studies indicate that the adhesive was composed of a thermoplastic elastomeric copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene phase and a phenolic thermosetting resin phase. From the DSC phase transition studies, they were able to determine the composition of the blend. The kinetics of conversion of the thermosetting can be monitored by TG. Atactic polypropylene still finds use in paper laminates and reinforced tape, but these markets are considered mature. Some research work is currently underway to produce polypropylene copolymers which will exhibit unusual properties. New polyamide and polyester resins, as well as more complex polymers, as poly amide-poly ethers or poly ester-poly ethers, are also under development.
