These additional studies carried out by the Krasnodar Scientific Research and Project Development Institute have thus disproved the earlier interpretation of the oil trap as a reservoir of fracture porosity type. 

Review Results Conduct a managerial review on all previous phases and how the process is moving forward in relation to time and costs. This phase is conducted by the researchers and project coordinator and should be regarded as the informational hub. After analysis of the prototype, DFMA principles are once again used to optimize the solution for the product redesign. 

These respective choices are dictated by our current knowledge, the state of the art in research and the projection of specifications in the future.

Many challenging industrial and military applications utilize polychlorotriduoroethylene [9002-83-9] (PCTFE) where, ia addition to thermal and chemical resistance, other unique properties are requited ia a thermoplastic polymer. Such has been the destiny of the polymer siace PCTFE was initially synthesized and disclosed ia 1937 (1). The synthesis and characterization of this high molecular weight thermoplastic were researched and utilized duting the Manhattan Project (2). The unique comhination of chemical iaertness, radiation resistance, low vapor permeabiUty, electrical iasulation properties, and thermal stabiUty of this polymer filled an urgent need for a thermoplastic material for use ia the gaseous UF diffusion process for the separation of uranium isotopes (see Diffusion separation methods). 

A.luminum Hydride. Aluminum hydride is a relatively unstable polymeric covalent hydride that received considerable attention in the mid-1960s because of its potential as a high energy additive to soHd rocket propellants. The projected uses, including aluminum plating, never materialized, and in spite of intense research and development, commercial manufacture has not been undertaken. The synthetic methods developed were cosdy, eg.

This revenue has to pay not only for the successful project but for all the unsuccessful research and development activities. It is common practice to consider all R D as a portfolio. Disbursements for R D are relatively flexible and can be switched from less favorable to more favorable projects at short notice.

Insurance is protec tion against risk. Commercial insurance companies minimize their own risks by covering a large number of individuals against a given risk and also by offering coverage on a wide variety of different types of risk. It is frequently quite difficult to assess the probability of success of a particular research and development project. It is much easier for an insurance company to assess its probabih-ties from its casualty tables.

Environmental factors should also be incorporated into a company s technical or research and development program. Since the planning horizons for new projects may now extend to 5 to 10 years, R D programs can be designed for ecific projects. These may include new process modifications or end-of-pipe control technologies.

Adequate Research and Development (RandD) should be completed before commencement of the project. 

Depending on the product and sales arrangement, the revenues calculation can take from a few man-hours to many man-months of effort. For instance, determining the price for a synthetic fuel from coal can be done in a very short time, based on the cost of service. However, if the price is tied to the price of natural gas or oil, the task becomes very difficult, if not impossible. On the other hand, determining the sales growth and selling price for a new product requires a great deal of analysis, speculation, market research, and luck, but projections can be made.
