Project partners

The choice of contract type will depend upon the type of work, and the level of control which the oil company wishes to maintain. There is a current trend for the oil company to consider the contractor as a partner in the project (partnering arrangements), and to work closely with the contractor at all stages of the project development. The objective of this closer involvement of the contractor is to provide a common incentive for the contractor and the oil company to improve quality, efficiency, safety, and most importantly to reduce cost. This type of contract usually contains a significant element of sharing risk and reward of the project. [Pg.301]

At the beginning of the supervision of films systems first of all the influences of the exposure-and processing installations of the project partners on the determination of the film system parameters shall be found out and subsequently the equipments for measurement shjdl be compared one with another. This round robin test comprises in detail ... [Pg.553]

Exposure of samples of film types selected by BAM with the same emulsion number in each case and out of the same package respectively in the laboratories of the project partners. [Pg.553]

Development and measurement of the parameters of the film system of these samples at BAM and the project partners. [Pg.553]

Comparison of the measurements with the microdensitometers and the algorithms of calculation inclusive the filter function and the accuracy of measurement of all project partners. [Pg.554]

The DfE partnership will develop information to improve the understanding of the environmental and human health impacts of new and current materials that can be used to meet the fire safety requirements for circuit boards. Project partners include electronics manufacturers, component and board manufacturers, chemical companies, trade associations, environmental groups, universities and governments. The project will consider environmental and human health impacts that can occur throughout the life cycle of a material, from development and manufacture, through product use and end of life of the material or product. Stakeholders have expressed a particular interest in understanding the combustion products that could be formed during certain end of life scenarios. The list of active partners includes ... [Pg.301]

The City of Davis receives the project funds for disbursement to the other project partners. The program seeks to validate advanced clean fuel technologies in a practical application. [Pg.175]

The project partners were the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW), Okopol -Institute for Environmental Strategies GmbH Hamburg and the Co-operation Office of the German Trade Unions Ass./Universities of Hamburg... [Pg.5]

Perth Hydrogen Bus Trial. Trial and demonstrations of three hydrogen fuel cell buses. Evaluation of the potential benefits for the operation of bus services in Perth and elsewhere in Western Australia. Project partners include the Western Australian State Government, Murdoch University. BP, and Daimler-Chrysler working under a budget of 10.72 million (cash) 5 million (in kind). [Pg.108]

We would like to thank our colleagues at the Chair of Fluid Separation Processes, Dortmund University, and all other project partners who have been involved in the research activities. We are also grateful to the German Research Foundation (DFG, Grants No. Schm 808/5-1, Ba 1569/2-1+ 2-2, Ba 1569/6-1), the Volkswagen Foundation (Project No. 1/70 875, 876, 877), the European... [Pg.362]

Final Report 2004, EC/BBW Contract No. ICA-CT-2000-10020, FP5 INCO-Copemicus project LAMINATES (Silicon Nitride Based Laminar and Functionally Graded Ceramic Composites for Engineering Applications), project partners University of Warwick (UK), FCT Technologie (Germany), Institute for Problems of Materials Science (Ukraine), Materials Research Center Ltd (Ukraine), Institute for Problems of Strength (Ukraine), Institute of Chemical Physics (Armenia), Drexel University (USA), EMPA (Switzerland). [Pg.215]

The Dow Chemical Company, Castor Oil, Inc., and the USD A Western Regional Research Center are collaborating to develop the castor plant as a suitable oilseed for specialty oils that can be converted into lubricants, coatings, foams, adhesives, and engineering thermoplastics. Castor oil already contains ricinoleic acid, a fatty acid used in many industrial applications, but project partners hope to produce other industrially desirable fatty acids within the castor bean. [Pg.883]

My dear project partners, Rune Bredesen (for the nice times in Oslo, we should soon have another evening in the Microbrewery or Cafe Amsterdam), Christian Simon, Bente Tilset and Reidar Haugsrud from SINTEF, Frans en Maurice Velterop, Robert Kuipers en Theo de Beer from Velterop BV, Herman Weyten en Jan Luyten from VITO, Jean-Alain Dal-mon and Patrice Ciavarella from IRC, Frans Janssen en Robert Meijer from KEMA and Arne Amundskas from Norsk Hydro. [Pg.140]

Discuss strategic plan with pfoject partners and revise. Delegate sections to project partners for more detailed planning. Reflno master plan and append detailed section plans. [Pg.20]

The bio-oil used in the tests was delivered from the project partner BTG in April 2000. For the chemical and physical analysis of bio-oil we used modified standard fuel oil methods. Table 1 shows the chemical and physical properties of the oil. The analysis was carried out in the Institute s chemical laboratory. [Pg.1453]

The aim of the BIOEMULSION project is to develop a low-cost physical-chemical and mechanical process for improving operational properties and performances of pyrolysis oil in small and medium Diesel engine units. The project partners are ... [Pg.1527]

I like to thank my (partly former) colleagues at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin fur Materialien und Energie (formerly Hahn-Meitner-Institut Berlin) for their contributions during the last years in the context of our research on the ALILE process, in particular J. Berghold (formerly J. Klein), W. Fuhs, O. Hartley (formerly O. Nast), K.Y. Lee, M. Muske, B. Rech, A. Sarikov, J. Schneider and I. Sieber. Especially, the intensive collaboration with J. Schneider and W. Fuhs has provided the basis for this chapter. The research on the ALILE process has been financially supported by the European Commission in the framework of the projects METEOR and ATHLET. I have highly appreciated the collaborations with the project partners and also with other external colleagues. [Pg.215]

Table 5.2.2 shows the number of invitations sent out and the laboratories that applied to the PT schemes, according to the method used. The fifth column of the table presents the number of applications that arrived from SWIFT-WFD project partners. [Pg.353]

All together 197 participants 5255 datasets were received and included in the statistical evaluation of the SWIFT-WFD PT schemes. Only 34 of these datasets were generated by SMETs, evenly distributed amongst the 3 PT campaigns. These numbers prove the participation of SMETs was very low, below 1%. In addition, most of the SMETs results were received from project partners and none of them arrived from laboratories from newly joined countries of the European Union and the Associated States. [Pg.353]

To create Virtual Training Centers in project partner countries in order to offer continuous support to teachers and to train them to apply e-Ieaming in intramural and extramural education [3]... [Pg.110]

In all of the project partner countries, Moodle-based Virtual Training Centers have been founded. The aim of these centers was to create a community of people interested in the project as well as provide a space where courses for teachers could be carried out. On one hand the courses allow teachers to get familiar with the methodology of the project and the manner of implementation of didactic research and on the other to present teachers with the operation of the Moodle and with the methodology of distance learning as well as to train them to use this form of learning in order to improve their own qualifications. [Pg.110]

A design process in the considered application domain comprises several different forms of communication and cooperation. To give only a few examples, video conferences can be planned for the discussion about interim results of a design step between geographically distributed designers, shared document editing helps in document manipulation and presentation in distributed work groups, and informal communication could be necessary if a question arises which can only be answered by a remotely located project partner. [Pg.268]
