Processing and Reporting

Group 3 elements which are not mostly vaporized in the boiler (1423 K) V, Cr, Mn, Co, Ni Referring to the classification, we investigated the temperature dependency of release of trace metals in coal combustion. We already reported the behavior of these three types of elements during high temperature coal processing and reported elsewhere . So in this paper, we investigated the effect of atmosphere for the emission behavior of trace elements. 

Recently, Chiron introduced the System 340 platform that automates incubation, washing, reading, data processing, and report generation. It is anticipated that automation will dramatically reduce operator-to-operator differences while decreasing labor requirements. In one laboratory the average coefficient of variation was reduced 43% and the hands-on labor was reduced 39% with the automated... 

The high-throughput concept for quantitative bioanalysis applies to steps such as assay development, sample collection and sorting, sample preparation, sample analysis, and data processing and reporting. Those processes are closely interlinked and improvement of process throughput is equally important. 

The titration process has been automated so that batches of samples can be titrated non-manually and the data processed and reported via printouts and screens. One such instrument is the Metrohm 670 titroprocessor. This incorporates a built-in control unit and sample changer so that up to nine samples can be automatically titrated. The 670 titroprocessor offers incremental titrations with variable or constant-volume steps (dynamic or monotonic titration). The measured value transfer in these titrations is either drift controlled (equilibrium titration) or effected after a fixed waiting time pK determinations and fixed end points (e.g. for specified standard procedures) are naturally included. End-point titrations can also be carried out.

The computer system attached to the instrument provides instrument control, data acquisition, data processing, and reporting. According to the draft Analytical Instrument Qualification chapter of the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) <1058> The manufacturer should perform design qualification, validate the software and provide users with a summary of the validation. At the user site, holistic qualification that involves the entire instrument and software system is more efficient than modular validation of the software alone. Therefore the user qualifies the instrument control, data acquisition and processing software by qualifying the instrument. ... 

Many appHcations of chromatography have been automated to some degree attention has focused primarily on the automatic injection of samples or on data processing and reporting. However, the separation power of the column can be usefully exploited as a pretreatment process. 

In this scenario, QA interacts with team members during the drug development process and reports observations to team members for their corrective and preventative action and documentation process. 

Early studies of metal uptake by lichens presented metal sorption as an ion exchange process, and reported metal accumulation in terms of relative uptake capacity, or the capacity of one metal to displace another as an adsorbed complex. Competitive uptake studies by Puckett et al. (1973)... 

HPLC itself is now considered to be a fuUy automated system. Once the solutions are placed in vials and sample sequence is programmed into the software, the auto-injector injects as stated in the sample sequence and it runs as specified in the instrument method. Many types of software, once programmed, also allow integration, processing, and reporting of an entire HPLC run to be performed automatically once the run is completed. 

Common permeate fluxes obtained in the industry are between 500 and 800 L h m , usually up to 10 h operation, giving average decimal reduction of bacteria above 3.5 while proteins and total solids transmissions are about 99% and 99.5%, respectively [8,52]. Trouve et al. (cited in Ref. [122]) examined the retention of 7 species of bacteria that typically occur in raw milk using the Bactocatch process and reported 2.6 log reductions during the MF of milk contaminated with initial bacterial levels... 

The CRF design process can begin either following or concurrent with the protocol development. Well-designed data collection forms are critical to achieve the objectives of the clinical trial. Consideration should be given to the content, format, and layout of the forms since all these factors contribute to the overall quality and accuracy of the data that will be collected, processed, and reported. 

Several types of reactors have been proposed such as the liquid entrained reactor(l) and the Trickle bed reactor(2). The authors have been studying a liquid-phase methanol synthesis process in order to develop a new technology as an alternative for a gas-phase process, and reported that a new process employing liquid-liquid separation of the products from the solvent has several advantages in practical methanol synthesis(3). 

Researchers from Asahi have ascertained the industrial feasibility of a process based on a Co/Mn catalyst and either pure oxygen at atmospheric pressure or nitrogen-diluted air at 12 atm (to avoid explosion hazards), with water and acetic acid as the solvent [13oj. The authors describe in detail the main features of the process and report a detailed study of the reaction mechanism. 

Constraints should have no impact on the value of the parameter estimates themselves nor should they affect the fitting process, unless the parameter is near a boundary. A parameter may bounce into an invalid parameter space causing the algorithm to either crash, in which case widening the bounds may be necessary, or to finish the optimization process and report the parameter estimate as a boundary value. In no instance when the final parameter estimates fall on a boundary should these be considered optimal values. 

Many methods have been used to achieve partial separation of lithium isotopes on a small scale. Examples of processes and reported separations are listed in Table 12.4. A process somewhat similar to the last one listed in this table, involving countercurrent exchange of lithium isotopes between aqueous lithium hydroxide and lithium amalgam, is to be used in a plant being built...

The specific heat of thorium monocarbide was measured between 2 and 300 K. A sintered sample was prepared from thorium obtained by the van Arkel process and reported to contain less than 200 ppm impurities. According to chemical analyses (no details given), the overall composition of the carbide sample corresponded to ThC0965N0.015O0.020 The lattice parameter was reported to be a = (5.3444 + 0.0002) A. This sample was measured over the whole temperature range 2 to 300 K.
