Overall Policy

A safety management plan should be tailored to fit the utility s characteristics and meet regulatory requirements. The plan s goals and objectives tell the employees that the utility is committed to providing a safe working place for all employees. The plan should clearly state the overall purpose of the safety program and that all employees have a responsibility in maintaining a safe work environment. [Pg.2]
