The final OSHA Benzene standard in 1910.1028 applies to all occupational exposures to benzene except some subsegments of industry where exposures are consistently under the action level (i.e., distribution and sales of fuels, sealed containers and pipelines, coke production, oil and gas drilling and production, natural gas processing, and the percentage exclusion for liquid mixtures) for the excepted subsegments, the benzene limits in Table Z-2 apply (i.e., an 8-hour TWA of 10 ppm, an acceptable ceiling of 25 ppm, and 50 ppm for a maximum duration of 10 minutes as an acceptable maximum peak above the acceptable ceiling).

Lesson planning required, first, a decision as to the scope of the single lesson within the pattern of the subcourse. The next step was to determine the method best suited to that particular unit of the instructional process— lecture, conference, demonstration, or field problem. In the lesson plan such miscellaneous notes as text references, location of exercise, training aids required, and other data useful to succeeding instructors could then be included. 

Notebook entries, detailed in the documents below, should be legible, concise, and relatively neat. The matter of neatness is rarely discussed realistically. The notebook definitely must not have the appearance of a fair copy, (i.e., pages copied at sonte later date from miscellaneous notes which may no longer be available). The notebook should be kept as the work is being carried out, preferably with the setup used for the experiment being documented. A small amount of spillage on a page is no major catastrophe—quite the contrary, it lends verisimilitude to the notes. 

Miscellaneous Methods At the beginning of this section we noted that kinetic methods are susceptible to significant errors when experimental variables affecting the reaction s rate are difficult to control. Many variables, such as temperature, can be controlled with proper instrumentation. Other variables, such as interferents in the sample matrix, are more difficult to control and may lead to significant errors. Although not discussed in this text, direct-computation and curve-fitting methods have been developed that compensate for these sources of error. ... 

Eight rats had at least one of the tumors tabulated here. In addition, the following miscellaneous tumors were noted 1 rat had cortical adenoma of adrenal gland, 1 had follicular adenoma of thyroid gland, and 1 had pulmonary adenoma.

Miscellaneous Food Additives (Amendment) Regulations 1999 lays down the levels of propionates that can be added to bread. It also notes that propionates can form naturally in the fermentation of bread. 

Including 20 ft2 for miscellaneous items not identified in this section, 110.3 ft2 must be rented, at an annual cost of 44,100/yr. Note that this moderately sized complex is added to an existing electronic materials manufacturing facility. Hence, no direct charges are added for infrastructure, such as non-clean room and office space. The total purchase cost, 6,492,100, provides equipment modules that require small installation costs, on the order of 1% that is, 65,000. Note also that two PECVD reactors are provided to assure uninterrupted operation when the plant is in operation, around the clock, 330 day/yr. While the robot loads and unloads one of the reactors, the other reactor is in operation. 

A recent summary of major domestic uses for chloroform noted the following percentage breakdowns typical of the early to mid-1990s (CMR 1995) use for manufacture of HCFC-22, 98% (refrigerants, 70% fluoropolymers, 30%) other miscellaneous uses, including laboratory reagents and extraction solvents for pharmaceuticals, 2%.

Several miscellaneous procedures have been reported for the preparation of L-gulonic acid (47). 5-0-Benzoyl-l,3 2,4-di-0-ethylidene-D-glucitol (72) was oxidized388 with chromium trioxide to 73. After hydrolysis of 73, the L-gulose (45) formed was oxidized369,370 with bromine to 21. As noted in Section III,5b, 3,5 4,6-di-0-ethylidene-L-gu-lonic acid (50) was prepared from 3,5 4,6-di-0-ethylidene-D-gulitol (49) in 50-70% yield. By hydrolysis, 50 afforded333 21. 

Miscellaneous tests. Treat 1 ml of the mixture with 5 per cent sodium hydroxide solution until strongly alkaline note whether an oil or solid separates, whether any ammonia is evolved and any colour changes which occur. Heat to boiling and cool compare odour with that of the original mixture (a change in odour may indicate the presence of esters). Add dilute hydrochloric acid and observe the result. 

A few other miscellaneous reactions may be noted. Vinylsilicon-metal compounds in entries 4 and 30 undergo addition of HBr in an anti-Markownikoff sense to give 2-bromoethyl derivatives in some other related systems, HBr induces cleavage (see Section III,B,2). Also, the phenyl group in a phenyl-silicon-metal compound can undergo hexahapto interaction with a Cr(CO)3 group (entry 39). 

Note Miscellaneous uses include cyanuric acid for chlorinated isocyanurates, crystalline adducts, deicing agents, pharmaceutical intermediates and sulfamic acid and its ammonium salt. 

Note "Miscellaneous Chemical Products" refers to HS (Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System) Code 38. 

Assets are commonly divided into the classifications of current, fixed, and miscellaneous. Current assets, in principle, represent capital which can readily be converted into cash. Examples would be accounts receivable, inventories, cash, and marketable securities. These are liquid assets. On the other hand, fixed assets, such as land, buildings, and equipment, cannot be converted into immediate cash. Deferred charges, other investments, notes and accounts due after 1 year, and similar items are ordinarily listed as miscellaneous assets under separate headings.
