Milestone dates

Although it may take some time to obtain additional technical information, prepare cost estimates, and prepare material for regulatory approval, at the time this report was prepared, no decision tree or network had been developed identifying milestone dates by which decisions had to be made to meet the CWC treaty deadline (April 29,2007). For each decision, a milestone date must be established, at which point the modification must either be approved or abandoned. For example, approval for a decision to use MAVs must be obtained or orders for the procurement of ONCs and the design of the associated container handling building must go forward to avoid delaying the disposal schedule. [Pg.40]

This mechanism developed by the operating committee and filled out by the responsible user for all computer systems should be based on a standard outline of milestones, with additional key points customized to the particular type of computer system being validated. This is an outline of typical milestone dates 1) submission of a validation assessment form 2) committee review of the systems need for validation 3) development of the first draft protocol 4) committee review of the draft protocol.(Note steps 3 and 4 will be... [Pg.72]

Identify the team member deliverables or responsibilities that need to be completed prior to the milestone dates (this provides ending linkages for deliverables). [Pg.3019]

Negotiate between project milestone dates and team member deliverable dates. [Pg.3019]

Changing the milestone date is straightforward. The target date is rescheduled because the original assumptions for this date were proven to be incorrect when the team came together to schedule the project. [Pg.3020]

What has been described earlier is the semi-structured survey method for the assessment of GE at the individual farmers level. The other method that can be used to assess GE is the comparative quantitative method, which is the comparison of amoimt of collections of two milestone dates. Genetic Integrity (GI) and GE were calculated as suggested by Hammer et al Quantifying the same using the names of varieties is the method suggested for the first time in this study. This was possible as the 1960 collections passport data has included local varietal names. [Pg.72]

All specimens have been machined/ inspected and delivered for testing. The join in the sic tensile rods became visible under ultraviolet light during dye penetrant inspection, whereas the join in SijN rods was not visible. Room temperature and high temperature testing procedures are being established and testing is expected to be completed by April 30/ instead of March 31, milestone date for end of characterization. The delay has been caused by several power failures and shutdowns. [Pg.264]

Lump Sum contract contractor manages and executes specified work to an agreed delivery date for a fixed price. Penalties may be due for late completion of the work, and this provides an incentive for timely completion. Payment may be staged when agreed milestones are reached. [Pg.301]

The history of iaclusion compounds (1,2) dates back to 1823 when Michael Faraday reported the preparation of the clathrate hydrate of chlorine. Other early observations iaclude the preparation of graphite iatercalates ia 1841, the P-hydroquiaone H2S clathrate ia 1849, the choleic acids ia 1885, the cyclodexthn iaclusion compounds ia 1891, and the Hofmann s clathrate ia 1897. Later milestones of the development of iaclusion compounds refer to the tri-(9-thymotide benzene iaclusion compound ia 1914, pheaol clathrates ia 1935, and urea adducts ia 1940. [Pg.61]

The study of flow and elasticity dates to antiquity. Practical rheology existed for centuries before Hooke and Newton proposed the basic laws of elastic response and simple viscous flow, respectively, in the seventeenth century. Further advances in understanding came in the mid-nineteenth century with models for viscous flow in round tubes. The introduction of the first practical rotational viscometer by Couette in 1890 (1,2) was another milestone. [Pg.166]

In addition to specific deadlines for each task and subtask, you should also consider program milestones, key pcrints in the plan at which you will want to review progress to date and make any necessary adjustments. For example, if you have adopted an element-by-element approach, you could consider completion of each PSM element as a milestone similarly, each facility s program would constitute a milestone, if that is the approach you ve chosen. [Pg.112]

In addition, working from the schedule you have developed, you will need to estimate travel costs. Key dates to keep in mind include those you have established as milestones, since they may call for group meetings to review progress. [Pg.119]

A milestone chart presents a broad-bmsh picture of a project s schedule and control dates. It lists those key events that are clearly verifiable by others or that require approval before the project can proceed. If this is done correctly, a project will not have many milestones. Because of this lack of detail, a milestone chart is... [Pg.834]

The discovery of the decay chain, of course, started with the seminal work of Marie Curie in identifying and separating Ra. Through the work of the Curies and others, all the members of the decay chain were identified. An important milestone for geochronometrists was the discovery of °Th (called Ionium) by Bertram Boltwood, the Yale scientist who also made the first age determinations on minerals using the U-Pb dating method (Boltwood in 1906 established the antiquity of rocks and even identified a mineral from Sri Lanka-then Ceylon as having an age of 2.1 billion years )... [Pg.661]

Another milestone in coordination chemistry dates from 1980, when the first complex containing dihydrogen was reported by G. J. Kubas. ft was found that hydrogen reacts with [W(CO)2(Pchx3)2]... [Pg.611]

Chiral amines were always considered important targets for synthetic chemists, and attempts to prepare such compounds enantioselectively date back to quite early times. Selected milestones for the development of enantioselective catalysts for the reduction of C = N functions are listed in Table 34.1. At first, only heterogeneous hydrogenation catalysts such as Pt black, Pd/C or Raney nickel were applied. These were modified with chiral auxiliaries in the hope that some induction - that is, transfer of chirality from the auxiliary to the reactant -might occur. These efforts were undertaken on a purely empirical basis, without any understanding of what might influence the desired selectivity. Only very few substrate types were studied and, not surprisingly, enantioselectivities were... [Pg.1193]

Subsequent to the extensive medicinal chemistry exploration of Orexin antagonism, its utility in the treatment of sleep disorders in man has been reported recently. This important milestone for the therapeutic validation of the target results from the 0X1 /OX2 receptor antagonist ACT-078573 (20) [57], SB-649868 has also been announced to be in phase II clinical development, but neither the structural formula nor the results have been reported to date [58,59]. Moreover, insomnia treatments based on orexin modulation may be addressed by not only receptor antagonism but by inhibition of pathways related to the genesis of the bioactive peptides Orexin A or B, e.g. inhibition of Orexin-converting enzyme [60]. [Pg.71]

The students used the Gantt chart to plan and monitor the project progress. Each team prepared a detailed list of tasks, milestones and deliverables. A timeline was constructed based on the completion time, delivery schedule and estimated time needed to complete each tasks. The Gantt chart enabled the students to identify dependency between various tasks and recognize potential bottlenecks in the project. The critical tasks, scheduled tasks, completion dates and delivery time were clearly labeled. Each week the teams met to discuss and update the Gantt chart, as old tasks were completed and new one started. [Pg.356]

The reports shall include engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and testing schedules for all major components. Planned and actual dates and the percentage completed shall be indicated for each milestone in the schedule. [Pg.164]

Each recommendation should have a suggested target completion date reflecting both urgency and practicality. Complex actions that require several steps or an extended time to complete should be assigned intermediate milestones to monitor progress of the action. In these circumstances, it may also be appropriate to consider additional temporary safety measures until the main actions have been completed. [Pg.312]

Project Timeline and Milestones List the projected completion date of major tasks in the validation. This information is useful in monitoring the progress of the project and making sure proper resources are available at various stages of the validation. [Pg.795]

Nevertheless and despite the widely illegal recreational use of cannabis the effects of cannabinoids on the brain still are under active investigation. The discovery of neuronal receptor proteins for cannabinoids and the existence of endogenous cannabinoid substances (Sullivan, 2000) are the most important milestones to date. [Pg.497]
