Milestone chart

A milestone chart presents a broad-bmsh picture of a project s schedule and control dates. It lists those key events that are clearly verifiable by others or that require approval before the project can proceed. If this is done correctly, a project will not have many milestones. Because of this lack of detail, a milestone chart is... [Pg.834]

A milestone chart showing the historical development of carrier facilitated transport membranes is given in Figure 11.5. Because of the differences between coupled and facilitated transport applications these processes are described separately. Reviews of carrier facilitated transport have been given by Ho et al. [18], Cussler, Noble and Way [34-37,39], Laciak [38] and Figoli et al. [40],... [Pg.431]

Milestone charts consist of a tabulation of major drug development milestones. Whereas the Go/No-Go decisions discussed previously are very project specific development milestones are much more generic and can usually be applied to a wide variety of projects. Typical milestones for pharmaceutical development are shown in Table 27.10. [Pg.432]

When an entity begins defining the implementation strategy, high-level milestones are identified and matched with target completion dates. The implementation steps outlined in this chapter are summarized -in a Metrics Implementation Milestone Chart, which illustrates relative timing, in Figure 5.1. [Pg.78]

In most cases, a system safety effort can be planned and implemented within six months. A recommended milestone chart is shown in Figure 9-1. [Pg.88]

The students used the Gantt chart to plan and monitor the project progress. Each team prepared a detailed list of tasks, milestones and deliverables. A timeline was constructed based on the completion time, delivery schedule and estimated time needed to complete each tasks. The Gantt chart enabled the students to identify dependency between various tasks and recognize potential bottlenecks in the project. The critical tasks, scheduled tasks, completion dates and delivery time were clearly labeled. Each week the teams met to discuss and update the Gantt chart, as old tasks were completed and new one started. [Pg.356]

An overview of the project plan, with timeline and delineated critical path, may be conveniently presented as a Gantt chart. A decision tree is another visual aid which can serve to clarify the critical information required for each milestone decision. [Pg.147]

As new projects are launched, it will be important to use operationalized definitions of remission, recurrence, and relapses (Frank et al. 1991) to consider and record chronobiological milestones, especially puberty, menstruation, menopause, and season to employ life charting by the patient so that brief recurrences can be identified to emphasize severity rather than dichotomous DSM-IV criteria and to consider well-known confounds such as mood subtype, age, comorbid conditions, and associated medication or substance use. [Pg.329]

Some of the important milestones in the development of microfiltration are charted in Figure 7.2. [Pg.277]

The child had had a normal and uneventful prenatal and birth history. He was born after a full-term gestation and weighed 3 3 kg. Until a few days prior to the incident, he had no medical problems. His weight, length, and head circumference had always followed the 40th percentile on growth charts. He had attained normal developmental milestones for age. There was no known consanguinity between the parents and no family history of similar problems, and there was a normal 3-year-old brother. [Pg.134]

Moving on to discuss specific market sectors, I thought I would chart the history of the key milestones in the development of animal health natural product drugs. Whilst the intention is that this review should be an objective discussion of important academic and industrial discoveries, as this is very much a personal perspective, it has been difficult not to include a tinge of commercial bias. Therefore, I chose my starting point as 1849. [Pg.46]

Horizontalbar charts (Figure 27.10) are used to view (1) the length (duration) of each task/ activity/ and objective/ (2) the temporal relationship between various activities/ and (3) the actual progress vs the original plan that has been made on each task/ activity/ and objective. A number of project-tracking software systems are available and provide the ability to view the whole project as well as just the high-level objectives (milestones and decisions). [Pg.433]

We tend to chart development for each of these lines in terms of milestones, ie, skills achieved by a certain age. Milestones are simply normative markers at median ages. Some children develop slower and some faster. The ages for the milestones are therefore only approximate and should not be taken as dogma. [Pg.691]
