China Food and Packaging Machinery Industry Association (CFPMA) was founded in 1989 with approval by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. CFPMA is a nationwide industrial association voluntarily composed of manufacturers, corporations, research institutes and universities involved in the field of food-processing and packaging machinery in China. Maize originated in the Americas and was introduced into Europe in 1492. About 600 million tons of maize is produced annually worldwide (Table 9) (11).
