China Food and Packaging Machinery Industry Association (CFPMA) was founded in 1989 with approval by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. CFPMA is a nationwide industrial association voluntarily composed of manufacturers, corporations, research institutes and universities involved in the field of food-processing and packaging machinery in China. The mission of CFPMA is to serve the members of the trade and promote the development of the whole industry. CFPMA serves as a bridge between the government, manufacturers and users.

Structurally, it would be of interest to examine the geometry of the transition-metal complexes 113, formed from 111 and 112. Like 109 and 110, complex 113 should conceivably also be planar. The original edition of this book, written in Chinese for students in mainland China, was published in 2001 jointly by Chinese University Press and Peking University Press. The second edition was published by Peking University Press in 2006. During the preparation of the present English edition, we took the opportunity to correct some errors and to include updated material based on the recent literature. 

In the late 1950s, the volume of reported remittances dropped off sharply. Founded in 1997, Sunway has developed into one of the main PE bag suppliers in mainland China. They manufacture food, freezer and sandwich bags, swing bin/pedal bin liners, checkout bags and refuse sacks. The company is exporting over 95 % of sales to Western Europe, the USA, Australia and Japan. Sunway has annual sales of over 12 million, employs over 300 staff and has annual production capacity approaching 20,000 tonnes. 

The rare earths (RE) are actually far from rare.6 The known reserves are more than 84 x 106 tons, a 2300 year supply at the present rates of consumption. Even the scarcest one, thulium, is more common than Bi, As, Cd, Hg, or Se. The largest reserves (51%) are in mainland China other major deposits are in the USA (15%), Australia (6%), and India (3%). 

In China, Bt cotton scientists have developed and commercialised their own lines of Bt cotton and cotton with stacked genes (Bt and cowpea trypsin inhibitor) besides Monsanto s approved Bt cotton. Chinese farmers in the Shandong and Hebei provinces of mainland China, who cultivated Bt cotton, used less pesticides than farmers cultivating non Bt cotton (10.3 and 57.8 kg/ha, respectively). Concomitantly, farmers often reduced the number of pesticide sprays from twelve to three or four sprays [17]. In addition, it has been observed that in these provinces in 1999, Bt cotton adoption led to approximately 10% higher yields. This yield effect was geographically dependent, because in other regions the observed benefit was not equally high [18].

Com, also referred to as maize (Zea mays L.), is one of the most important cereal grains that is a commercial source of vegetable oil. Maize originated in the Americas and was introduced into Europe in 1492. About 600 million tons of maize is produced annually worldwide (Table 9) (11). The United States is by far the largest corn producer in the world followed by Mainland China.
