Hardware inspection

Systems, based on a method of inspection of slice by slice, in a number of cases allow to solve put problems. But for obtaining of higher resolution it is necessary to have an opportunity to increase number of inspected slices. It results in significant increasing of collection data time that is inadmissible in some applications. Besides this, the maximum allowable number of researched slices is rigidly limited by hardware opportunities of tomographs, and also by level of emission of x-ray sources. [Pg.216]

Inspection of load - carrying structures and mounting hardwares, the defects detection under side platings and dielectric shells in their attaching points to the load - carrying structures. [Pg.345]

The CamuS system consists of a number of components, both hardware and software, as shown in Figure 1. The hub of the system is the data acquisition unit, which collects and stores ultrasonic data in the form of RF waveforms. An accurate probe position monitor provides information on the location and orientation of the probe as it is scanned over the test object. Software tools have been developed to provide assistance to the user with preparing inspection procedures according to the requirements of prEN1714 with visualising the data, in relation to the test object with making measurements of any indications present and with classifying indications. [Pg.765]

The system should support all the inspection types available in the PSP-3 P-scan, T-scan and Through Transmission, TOFD and A-scan. It should be possible to record data for all the inspection types simultaneously. The developments in computer hardware, in particular disk storage, during the last years have made it feasable to increase the emphasis on the A-scan recording modes. It has also been feasible to extend the P-scan format to include P-scan image storage in a full 3D format, that allows cross-section views to be generated off-line. [Pg.782]

The great advantage of installing an ultrasonic system in a PC is that both the hardware (processor, grafics, power supply,. .) aud the software (evaluation and documentation) are directly available for the inspections. [Pg.861]

Dye penetrant inspection of the hardware to determine the extent of distress in order to develop material requirements and repair techniques. [Pg.206]

Where test software or comparative references such as test hardware are used as suitable forms of inspection, the standard requires that they be checked to prove that thep are capable of verifying the acceptabilify of product prior to release for use during production, installation, and servicing and shall be rechecked at prescribed intervals. The standard also requires the supplier to establish the extent and frequency of such checks and to maintain records as evidence of control. [Pg.406]

The standard requires the supplier to safeguard inspection, measuring, and test facilities including both test hardware and test software from adjustments which would invalidate the calibration setting. [Pg.420]

Failure mode A symptom, condition, or fashion in which hardware fails. A mode might be identified as a loss of function premature function (function without demand) and out of tolerance condition or a simple physical characteristic such as a leak (incipient failure mode) observed during inspection. [Pg.136]

AS of this writing, 100% inspection by NAA of small arms primers in an actual production loading plant has not been implemented, nor is it contemplated in the near future. Technical problems exist related to coupling the present state-of-the-art nuclear components with the high production rates for the primers, namely, tens of units per sec per automatic loading line. The high intensity of the neutron source and the complexity of the detection system required detracts from the utility of the method in a plant environment where simplicity and safety of operation are of paramount importance. Nevertheless, the technical feasibility of the method has been demonstrated by the AMMRC study and future developments in nuclear activation hardware may ultimately make this non-destructive inspection for production primers more viable... [Pg.368]

Process and Equipment Integrity—Among the things to be considered here are reliability engineering, materials of construction, fabrication and inspection procedures, installation procedures, preventive main-tainence, process, hardware and systems inspections and testing (prestartup safety review), maintainence procedures, alarm and instrument management, and demolition procedures. [Pg.181]

Specific responsibilities for testing, inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining equipment must be assigned in writing and should distinguish between various hardware devices in the laboratory site. [Pg.148]

Verify the hardware and software delivered against the shipping list. Inspect for visible damage. [Pg.146]

The inspection of all hardware must be indicated and documented, including the equipment received, the personnel performing the activity, and the date of the activity. A complete list of the hardware to be qualified must be created, including the hardware item, description, manufacturer or supplier, manufacturer s model number, and serial number. [Pg.65]

The GLP regulations have been in existence since 1978. From 1984 the FDA began applying these regulations to computer systems, their development, use, and support. The FDA has stated that hardware is considered to be equipment and software is considered to be records under the regulations. This means that computer system development documentation and procedures are now subject to FDA inspection. [Pg.251]

The painting crew used a 5-ft. diameter by 6-ft. tall, portable, vertical, pressure vessel which was designed for 125 psig (860 kPa gauge) internal pressure. After a routine fit for service inspection, the industrial-sized vessel and trailer were brightly painted. A decision was made to renew the hardware on the top-mounted, ten-inch charging nozzle. [Pg.179]

It is worth pointing out that the vectorised code is written in standard FORTRAN. The CRAY FORTRAN compiler simply recognises the vectorisable loops and translates these into hardware vector orders. An inspection of the machine code thus generated revealed that very little was to be gained by hand coding the kernels into Assembly language. [Pg.18]

Since the entry into force of the Convention, 63 States Parties have declared a total of over 4,000 inspectable OCPFs. Of these facilities, more than 100 had received inspections by the time of the RevCon. The Technical Secretariat has concluded that these inspections have shown that some of the OCPFs are highly relevant to the object and purpose of the Convention. These facilities produce chemicals that are structurally related to Schedule 1 chemicals. Of particular relevance to the Convention are facilities that combine this kind of chemistry with production equipment and other hardware designed to provide fiexibihty and containment. ... [Pg.54]

Assembly should be eonducted using preapproved procedures. The quality of assembly work, including software installation, should be monitored. Many organizations deploy visual inspection and diagnostic testing to eonfirm that the computer system s hardware has been correctly assembled. Some companies tag assembled equipment that has passed such a quality check so that it can be easily identified. [Pg.225]
